Mostar, one more thing to add,

I usually use a really really heated up grill and oven option for naan. but before putting it into the oven, I prepare the dough , and put it on a very slightly oiled hot tawa for a couple of seconds , as soon as bubbles start forming on the top, you shift that naan into the oven and let it cook up fully.

makes really nice and soft yet crispy naan

That is what we do as well! First on a hot tava until it is bubbly then finish it off in the oven (broil option not bake)
