Pictures and portraits … I am going to keep one room free of all pics for namaz and prayers ..

But really want to put up my parents and FIL and MIL’s pics up … I am thinking the dining room.

we dont want the family pics in the living room coz sometimes you dont want to expose family to outsiders who are retained to the drawing room when they visit you.

Stair case is another option where hubby and I are going to put one or two pictures …

any other possible locations?

If you have a separate family room, maybe there? you can put pics of you two in your bedroom too :hmmm:

hmmm Masi , see thats where the confusion is … I really want to put a larger pic of me and him in the bedroom , but then I feel we might be praying in the room as well … unless i remain inspired to not be lazy and actually walk upto the prayer room every morning .. which i doubt i will do … :hmmm:

can't you have in opposite direction of qibla? or will it not suit your room's orientation?

CB, I was under the impression that angels don't come to the house where there are pics...and also heard uss ghar mein namaz qabool naheen hotee jiss mien tasweerain hotee hain.... Rest Allah knows best...and because of this ...my home doens't have any pics...

sorry ....because of this I haven't put up all my pics in which I look GORGEOUS :'( ..... Waisey hee namazain are so distracted... upar sey if they don't get accepted I am done for...

I dont have any pictures in my whole house for the same reason that CB mentioned. But for someone who wants, I think a nice digital frame with slide show of selected family pictures is a good option. You can turn it off whenever you want to or move the slide show to display pics of nature only (mouthains, tress, ocean ..etc)

is the issue with having pics, pics that are exposed or pics that are revered?
