There are two foods that I crave often…chocolate…and Italian food because it has such a comforting texture to it. A few days will go by, maybe a week or two…and I’ll start to crave something with tomato sauce and cheese. I love tomato sauce and it marries so well with cheese in pasta or on bread!
I’m really fond of ravioli. And the best frozen variety I have found is Amy’s Organic Ravioli. A bit pricey, but so worth it! I also loved baked ziti and lasagna! And who doesn’t enjoy pizza!!! So, join in guppies…share your favorite Italian dishes, recommendations, and recipes!
Oh gosh.. I love all that stuff too but its sooo fattening so I tend to stay away from it. Too much of a good thing can certainly be bad.
I love the regular baked ziti, pizza, and lasagna dishes... but my absolute favorite pasta dishes are pasta puttanesca, rigatoni with zucchini, gnocchi, and chicken alfredo, especially with fettucini... yummmm!

when i was living alone during my college days i would make ravioli every other day. so easy to make and sooooooo good. i just pound mozzarella cheese on anything italian :). if you havent, you must try lobster ravioli. its amazing specially with steamed vegies (carrots, peas, and small brocollis) in pink sauce. though pink sauce usually is made with vodka, champagne, or wine. im sure u can get pink sauce without that too. what my mom does is mix marinara and alfredo sauce together, and pours it over the ravioli, not only does red and white mix to make pink but it tastes soooooooooooooooo yummy. but lobster ravioli is a must try, and thats saying a lot since i dont even like seafood.
im not that into italian food..but hte BEST pizza i've ever had is in Little Italy.. it actually made me eat Eggplant and enjoy it! (i hate eggplant). Still not too fond of their sweets though.
^ you have to try a real italian tiramisu Sara… and an authentic tiramisu does not have alcohol in it (as i learnt when i went to italy, they were disgusted when i told them that tiramisu in the UK has alcohol in it!:))
I love all italian food, it’s my favorite cuisine and i make it every other day… and i’m sure i have italian blood in me

If ur not into Italian food it's probably cuz u haven't been to a great Italian restaurant yet. What pizza place did u go to in little Italy? I just went to this Italian place near my home named Vezzo, has the most amazing gourmet pizza. There are so many great pizza places around the city. The next one on my list is Adriennes pizza bar, downtown. Love it!
A really yummy Italian treat is....a jar of Nutella. The famous chocolate hazelnut spread created by Ferrero Rocher! I also like Italian ice and gelati (Italian ice cream) is not bad either...it's creamier than regular ice cream. I still have to try a cannoli!

Try this small joint calls Johns Pizzeria in the Village, i think McDougal Street....brock oven pizza that's awesomeeee! What's funny, is it has limited seating, and you'll see a huge line formed outside of people waiting.
