I m watching this match right now and Dutch are seriusly BACK I wanted them to win and i anticiptaed a close game after all that Kliuvert-Ruud partnership talk but man they have played some brilliant football :k: If they can maintain this high standard of football in portugal, they are strong contenders.

Congrats Nes. I would have liked to see the Turks advancing as well though, but they lost to Latvia. 
yes, I was hoping for a Turkey win myself but they let go a 2-0 lead. Thats their fault.
Good to see Spain making it easily though. It wouldnt have been a complete Euro 2004 without Holland and Spain.
*seriously speakin' scottish football is in tatters it has been since euro 96'!!! there was no element of surpirse that the dutch thrashed a below par and average scottish footie side which lacked compuser, and good co-ordination, the scottish strikers are young and dey know not how to handle the burden of internationl football and crucial ties, there defence is lacklustre apart from christian dailly no other defender is capable of withholding a counter attack, and without a solid back 4, a footie team can't be successfull on going forwards and wat have you!!! *

too bad turkey didn’t qualify…i had certainly hoped for them being present in Portugal. They’re a technically good side to watch.
My money for next year is on France, Italy or Holland (in that order)
I would put England in the fourth place and would put Holland above Italy. Holland is certainly one of the most, if not the most talanted and star-studded outfit on this planet.
Spain is the most under-achieving european team. I would rate them favorites too but after the above mentioned teams.
Holland is my favourite team since the days of Van Basten, Gullit and Rijkyard. Its good to see them qualify to Euro-2004 after some difficulty. It would be good see them win the cup after that gut-wrenching loss to France in the Euro-2000 and a loss to Denmark in 1992.
The Euro 2004 tournament has now its full set of participating nations and will be held in Portugal in the 2004, around June time or so.
i'll be rooting for Germany - i can't stand England - not with morons captain and manager of the side!

they lost to Italy in the semis......Italy with 10 men (Cannavaro got red-carded), won after a penalty shoot-out. During the match Frank de Boer and Kluivert missed penalties also

as of late it has been more defensively minded - and not really too much talk of attacking play but they do still get the results. Okay they're not fulled with fancy tricks and play all out attacking Soccer like say Brazil do but at the end of the day they still get the results and even when everyone under-estimates them - they still come up with the goods - don't forget that they are the most successful Soccer nation behind Brazil.
^Germany are a boring side to watch....agreed, they have very good results, but watching their matching is so boring. It's not any entertainment. So if u are a neutral spectator, u woudn't like to see Germany in any big match.
Agreed Nescio, a neutral spectatpr would want to see some flair in the match, not boring defensive game.
Talha, yes they are the second msot successful team behind Brazil but gone are the days when they had players like Matheus and Klinsman who will play with flair and venom.... Only Ballack can do that in present German team...

Oh c'mon ppl ...... no one asks u wheather u played brilliantly or boring if u can win matches and get titles ...... It's not boring but defensive and effective ..... Saby u r talking about Klinsmann and Mattheus ..... well yes there was flair and passion whenever they were on th pitch ..... but u've to agree it'll take time to unearth and develope yet not totally replacing them ..... but hopefully somewhere close to them ...... 2006 will be the ultimate test for this young side ...... u ppl are talking about attractive play ..... then u better root for Holland and Spain but the two most successful European teams todate are for sure Germany and Italy ...... Both with a tendency for destructive yet defensive play (for some ppl. very boring) ......
Just some days before Germany lost to France 0:3 in a friendly but this agains shows how unexperienced this team is ..... we'll see in 2004 and 2006 who gets atleast into the semi fainals even though every street Pundit use to talk them dead ......
