Despite their repeated intercepts and counterattacks, PAK are finding it hard to break into the NED circle due to the packed NED defence. PAK not finding the width like earlier in the half, and particularly not down the left.

In the first half, I thought the quality of play from both teams in their attacking 25 was very, very high. I thought PAK played a smarter game in the last 20 mins of the half and hurt the NED team with their fast counterattack. This half, NED need to try and stop the PAK counterattack by closing the midfield. I think PAK will try and play the same way as the first half. Should be a good spectacle!

I have been trying to follow Champions Trophy, but the official website mentioned by shinoo is very disappointing as far as updates go. I think www.fieldhockey.com is much better, and ofcourse our own ehsan bhai is the best when it comes to updates... by the way, what a pleasent surprise to see asif bhai wishing the best to pakistan.

I feel India's morale took a huge beating after they stole defeat from the jaws of victory against Holland (i.e. allowed 4 goals in the last 7 minutes). And Indian Sportsmen(Hockey or Cricket) are not particularly known for their mental/emotional strength.
I do not know much about the current bunch of Paki Hockey players...so no comments about their chances......

Pakistan played better hockey than Dutch throughout the match, aprat from the initial 10 minutes. They just ruled the match and for once our Defence had a magnificiant game. I specially liked the way they were hurrying on dutch forwards as if they mean to harrass them and dutch obviusly panicked 
Sohail Abbas showed how important is he to the team and the second goal from Kashif Jawad was a result of some brilliant passing between Nadeem, Shabbir and Kashif.

I expected a game like this. The NED team is very different to their Sydney gold medal team. They are younger and less experienced as thus miss their chances in attack more than before. The PAK team is very balanced in attack and defence and they seem to understand their own team game very well. I think both these teams will make the gold medal final on Sunday.**
