Is it? “brutal genocides” take place everywhere, year after year. It isn’t just gaza. Most of you just choose to ignore it. Why do you guys only concentrate on gaza? Is this a racial thing with jews? you can’t be this narrow minded.

You don’t know jack about how much charity and how many causes people here support besides Gaza. So keep your silly looking self righteous judgement and trollish cynicism to yourself. I’m going to be very polite and just say that it’s in very bad taste. No one owes you any explanation about their charity work. No one needs your approval and who are you to know about all the details? There’s a platform in this forum where you can express your self righteous concerns for the country of your parents, would love to see you there.

you’ve really made an impact in my life with your accusations and name calling. i now finally see the light, thanks for that. before you jump the gun again, i’d like to point out this thread is specifically dedicated to palestine/israel issue hence why the focus is on that. if you want to talk about burma, syria, pakistan or the likes.. either create a separate thread or find some that are already existing on them. and lastly, how do you know which countries or what kind of charity we give importance to? please.. save your self righteous comments.. they’re unnecessary and quite insulting.

So in first two posts you said whatever you said then you made a contradictory statement which was the reason I said what I said.
I never said people should stop collecting or donating altogether. Read my post again, it was in the context of helping people outside the country of residence.
Not going to derail this thread which is already gone too far from its intended course since OP could not give any justification of the thoughts which were presented,…
…but for you to understand that charity or donation is/was maligned so much under the auspice of what exactly you said in first two posts, that Obama had to talk about it in his speech in Cairo.

Posting things on facebook is standing up for the Palestinians? That is what is really odd. How does making anti-Jewish comments on facebook (which is what this thread is about) help the Palestinians?
If people were actually doing something, it would be different. I have two ex-colleagues who are doctors and have spent the last 2 months in Gaza and are still there. They are standing up for the Palestinians. Loads of people at my masjid are collecting money, clothes, and other things that would help them. They are also standing up for the Palestinians. Much respect to them and other people like them. People ranting and raving on facebook? Not so much.

The saddest part is that a good number of videos and pics are fake. I dont know if some kid with a video editing software and a pirated lisc of photoshop is playing cruel jokes, or this is a work of some agency, but its sick. Its an insult to all the Palestinians who are dying every day.

In my second post of this thread I did talk about your “whole message” and agreed with you on that one. So that part is done with.
Then I simply asked who are ‘we’ or ‘our’?. That was the beginning.
Then came the word of ‘owning’. “We should own”.
No sir, no one should own except who does the bad deed(s).

I remember watching on the history channel (I think) that when Muslims lost control of Spain Jews were asked to convert to Catholicism & those who refused were persecuted & Ottoman navy went and rescue the Jews from Spain & brought them to modern day Turkey and the Middle East.

Look the crux of it is this…Hitler believed in a supremacy for the aryan people. And if you look back at his history, his grievances were against Jews. A jew rejected him from art college, a jew was treating his mother when she passed away, the list goes on. His (misplaced) hatred for Jews was purely circumstancial as opposed to ideological. If you insert said events with muslim, it would have been a Muslim holocaust. So those of you saying Hitler would have been on the side of Muslims yada yada, get a freakin grip. Is the agenda here is to imply that people who take few seconds out of their lives to express solidarity to Palestinians (not to make vile anti Jewish comments) on Facebook are doing nothing practical in lives to help Palestinians?
