chowk has no competency whatsoever…its core competency is only for idiots like u sitting abroad getting anal with culture and crossing borders…
unskilled writers come there to practise thier wrting for eternity since they can never get published…

What did you read on Chowk that made you so antagonistic towards Chowk…? True, they may never get published, but at least it gives them an incentive to unleash some pent up creative energy…And many of them are great writers, although I may not agree with them…

chowk is pretty good, ive been visiting that website on and off for 6 years now, some really good writers there. i hope gupzine turns out just as good (with a different focus of course).

chowk is more intellectual than gupzine....
and the interactors there have a better mindset....
one good proof is that their bulletin board is almost empty while their article section(s) full....
quite the opposie of GS....

i have nothing agaisnt it..
as long as you are ready to call it plain “amateur” writing with a ponderous focus i am fine with it…just dont call it informed opinion in any way to me…no specialist likes to suck up to indian audiences, woh bhi free of charge…

is there one magazine in the world? or one newspaper?
does Pakistan have one magazine?
why cant there be multiple webzines with varying focus.
GQ is not esquire, and Esquire is not Men's health, and Men's Health is not Vitals, but they all exist.
gupzine does not have to be like Chowk, or have the same focus as Chowk to be successful. It has to be successful or fail on its own terms.
