me

somewhat. some is good most is crap.. that stewpid will smith really is beginnignt o annoy me and all those other clowns making their weak lyrics have the crutches of heavy sampling from clasics liek rock teh Casbah, or Lets dance etc.

But music from talented, original artists is always enjoyable.

I wish middle eastern ppl would start rapping about terrorism like blacks rap about about gangstas and drugs.

I visited that site. Pretty freakish. So do u have more knowledge about them? Thier site didn't tell much about their bio. I know they are muslims but from what country?

They are British. Actually different religions as well and not just muslim.
Aki is the main man behind the group and the founder, Others have kinda come and gone.

I dont know Aki, but have just met him. I know Muzfar and D. There dhol player is a new guy who is of indian origin and is hindu, he used to be with the dhol foundation but I cant recall his name right now. He joined just a few months ago. There is one more guy and he is a muslim brit.

I am posting some info that I found about them.

Fundamental was formed in 1991 in Bradford to play the Notting Hill Carnival of that year. Though all of the initial four-piece were born in Pakistan or India, they had each grown up in Northern English cities.

The initial line-up was Propa-Ghandi (Aki Nawaz: aka Prince Haq), DJ Obeyo, Bad-Sha Lalliman and Man Tharoo Goldfinger (Inder Matharu) Their debut single was 'Janaam - The Message', which immediately brought them to the attention of the national music press, particularly the dance magazines.

After a cassette-only release, they followed up with 'Gandhi's Revenge', before 'Sister India', initially recorded for a live John Peel Radio 1 session. On the back of such exposure they looked certain to be on the verge of a significant break through - when they themselves broke in two in late 1993, during a video shoot in Pakistan.

Industry conjecture suggested rows over royalty payments and allocations, as rappers Goldfinger and Bad-Sha Lallaman left to team up with DJ Obeyo, and attempted to take the name with them.

Eventually they became Det-ri-Mental. Fun-Da-Mental carried on, their first release since the departures was 'Countryman', in November 1993. Fun-Da-Mental's leadership remained with Aki Nawaz and D.

thanks a lot.
In thier gandhi song are they dissing gandhi or praising him?

Mr. Fraudia and 2pak!

Hip-hop is THE only thing I listen to.

No rap but the old real thing :
Grand Master Flash and The Furious Five
(Melle Mel prob. the best rapper ever)
What about Luther Vandross. My favourite.

I don't listen to No Limit or Cash Money because they have no skill. Master P is a 2Pac biter and the rest of the No Limit Soldiers have no musical talent (other than Mystikal). They have no flows, weak beats, and their lyrics are pathetic. Cash Money is a better version of No Limit, but they are very predictable. I'm not a real East Coast fan, but they have some very talented MCs. However, some of the great East Coast artists have been falling off lately. Nas used to have amazing lyrics, but he has become so commercial. Ever since Illmatic he has fallen off. I like Wu-Tang, but they haven't made anything decent in a while. ODB is straight up crazy and hilarious. DMX is wack. From the West, Dre is coming back strong and he is gonna bring a resurgent Snoop Dogg and Xzibit. Eminem is off the heazy. He has some straight dark, but funny lyrics. I can't wait for Summer 2000 because I'll get to have the Dogg Pound reunion album and the new NWA album will be out. I'll be back later with more comments

GHill
Is Dr. Dre's Chronic any good? I know I like two songs but what about the rest?
What do you think about Noreaga? and who do you think is the greatest rapper of all time?
I heard Master P's latest song .. Ya'll don't wanna step to this ... Man that song doesn't make any sense at all , straight up crap. and Master P also got kicked out of Toronto Raptors .. so he can't play BasketBall no mo' I think His down fall has began ... Let's see what happens ....

I cant say that I am a Hiphop regular. More of an industrial/electronica stuff. So my hiphop knowledge in general is a bit limited.

Being a Philly boy, I have to be down with the east coast though :>

Lostboy: Dre's Chronic is pretty good. It is more insightful than his 1st Chronic, but it still has the gangsta feel. His beats and production are still top notch. I think Dre, as a producer, is just on a whole other level. As for the tracks, Still D-R-E is pretty tight. Dre comes correct with Snoop and it has a nice keyboard loop. Forgot About Dre is also a nice track. I think Eminem steals the show on this track with his mad lyrics. What's the Difference? is another phatty track with an amazing beat. His hardest hitting song has to be The Next Episode. He, Snoop, and Nate Dogg come with some real Chronic gangsta licks. Another standout track is The Watcher. Dre is just basically explaining the rap game today and stuff. The rest othe the tracks are good also, but they don't stand out to me as the ones I mentioned. You might not like this album because it isn't the typical Dre sound. It is more futuristic.

I don't really have an opinion on Noreaga as my East Coast hip-hop listenership is very selective. Best rapper of all-time; that is tough. I'll give you my tope 10 list:

  1. Rakim
  2. Dre
  3. Biggie
  4. Snoop
  5. Slick Rick
  6. NWA
  7. Ice Cube
  8. Wu Tang
  9. Gang Starr
  10. The Roots

What’s up Ghill!
