I just want to comment shuddhi was not a forcible conversion.It was for those who believe in Aryam Samaj’s vedic teachings.Irrespective of our religions,Vedas is the common heritage for all of us pak and india.Vedas have pre RAM,Krishna era and common to all of us who have common ancestors “ARYAN”. Shuddhi was done only when person was himself willing because it included reciting and learning tough hymns with yagyas.I don’t think that this thing can be forced upon ,unless self desired.
Also shuddhi was limited to urban areas among educated ones ( started in Mumbai,spread to Punjab Lahore,Amritsar) where forcing was not possible( among educated)..
Forcible conversion whether in hindus,islam,christians is condemnable and should be suppressed.

Taslima Nasreen’s Lajja was from true incidents.Yes,Attacks on Christians is a shame.If Bajrang dal thinks of re converting ,they can’t win hearts.conversions by missionaries is wrong if it is just for sake of increasing population not bringing upliftment for them
Poor tribals want food,education not a religious identity for survival which they are getting from missionaries.
So instead of attacking them,they should be giving education and employment
I want to correct all,I am not defending one religion/ethnicity from others but
want to convey that everywhere there is chaos which can be solved only by mutual understanding than blame game
