Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori
^ thanks for elaboration......i've read in Bhgavad Gita that all type of intoxicants are forbidden including tea and coffee. Do hindus believe in it?
I am really not sure where it is specifically prohibited about tea and coffee, intoxicants notwithstanding??
May be if you can quote a verse from SrimadBhagwadGita, it may help...thanks.
Even Madyapan(madirapan) or consumption of liquor is not desirable only in the sense for those who wants to achieve the end goal of "self-realization'...since such activities are more for sensual pleasure than anything else.
To my undestanding, it's more about excercizing 'self-restrain'.
As a Kul Parampara (tradition), only Brahmins used to abstain from Maans(meat) and Madira(liquor)......though in modern time there are a lot of Brahmins consuming these.
Btw....The word Brahmin is highly mis-interpreted word :D
