Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

One ignorance breeds another......I won't be surprised if these Aghoris only exist in television documentaries.
And after looking carefully, it becomes clear the video is fabricated...the activities are stage managed...there are other parts of the same video on You tube..which shows how the man searches for a skull...looks a real stage managed drama.

I hope these Aghoris should not become extinct in India...this will really undo all the hopes of those attention seekers.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

^Pandavas ate meat though.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

Try to know more about Pandavas....they belonged to royal family of Santanu or Kuru Dynasty....known for their hunting skills.

In fact Meat eating is something related to 'self-restrain'.....Only Brahmins completely abstain from meat eating...all others usually may eat as long as it's not a cow-meat.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

^ thanks for elaboration......i've read in Bhgavad Gita that all type of intoxicants are forbidden including tea and coffee. Do hindus believe in it?

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

I am really not sure where it is specifically prohibited about tea and coffee, intoxicants notwithstanding??
May be if you can quote a verse from SrimadBhagwadGita, it may help...thanks.

Even Madyapan(madirapan) or consumption of liquor is not desirable only in the sense for those who wants to achieve the end goal of "self-realization'...since such activities are more for sensual pleasure than anything else.

To my undestanding, it's more about excercizing 'self-restrain'.

As a Kul Parampara (tradition), only Brahmins used to abstain from Maans(meat) and Madira(liquor)......though in modern time there are a lot of Brahmins consuming these.

Btw....The word Brahmin is highly mis-interpreted word :D

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

are you confusing it with alcohol?...Besides, even i drink coffee. I dont feel addicted at all. Besides which verse is that. I want to read it.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

i dont know about this. But having pure vegetarian food is appreciated though not imposed.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

Matrubhoomi why do you guys always try to dismiss everything as "Madrassah brainwashing" and "E-Jihadism"???

Where have I said anything which is not true? Is the bit about the caste system not true? Or the fact that women and low castes don't deserve religious education not true?

You freely bash our religion left, right and center as "Arab Cult" and what not, you come on here and spew your venom, you have set up whole websites for it (hindu web etc.) but when somebody even tells the truth about you, you get your panties in a twist..

That documentory wasn't by Muslims, it's not staged, those guys are clearly unwashed Sadhus..

I know I make unsavoury comments about Hindus, trust me I wasn't like this till I found out how you Hindus feel about Muslims, Islam and Pakistan (Pakis too had bad feelings about India due to our dispute/wars over Kashmir but they were not half as strong as the hatred you feel for us, our country and religion, you only need to look at bulletin boards, I'm probably the only anti-hindu person on here and that's in retaliation whereas indian boards are infested with Islam haters).. Hatred breeds hatred mate.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

^ In fact you started this---your previous post was full of typical lunatic rants......I will quote a few of them--
Glory be to our Lord God who has guided His servants from darkness into Light.
I never heard from any faith let alone a student of Arab style madrassa that the Absolute Truth-God......is ours or theirs??
To think our people followed such hideous cultish ways at one time… shiver
How many such Aghoris you have seen?
Some people are rife with Jaahiliyyah (ignorance) and devoid of any book or guidance, they do what takes their fancy regardless of how hideous it maybe because they have no solid book giving guidance, their faith and worship-rituals are all based on their own whim and desire rather than divine inspiration, they reject and accept their scriptures as it suits them when they're living in civilised society.
Typical madrassa style rant again claim 'ours' as superior book and 'others' as
rejectors-- deserving condemnation and death.
I am not surprised.

Btw....Have you yourself read any of the books and grasped it fully so that you concluded all rituals including Vedic rituals are whim??

Also I guess, you have already realized that Absolute God...through your claimed divine inspiration probably by praying facing Saudi Arabia 5 times a day??
Praise be to Allaah who has liberated and liberates His servants from the shackles of the Varna Vyavastha, of widow burnings, human sacrifices... Praise be to Allaah who purfies His servants from all kinds of filth through His Grace, Amen.
Typical way --- starts with praising God and then same old lunaticism.

How many of widows has been burnt in Billion plus Indian population since last year?? Do you know the Indian law about this?
First give me the percentage of Widows burnt in India and then compare it with the percenetage of women murdered as honor killing over there...OK??

Needless to say even I have came across that widow burning thing only from History books of British India.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

Dude the documentary was made by Discovery channel not by Pakistan or Muslims.
Why are you so ashamed of your rituals and customs?
One Indian said that these thing dont exist in India…Holy crap..u mean that Discovery make it up? Dude google Kumbh Mela…and you will find million pictures of Sahdus now dont tell us that all of them are fake.
Here is some more for your eyes only.
The famous Mela of Kumbh near banks of holy Vernasi…and here is the picture from it

To see more details of this mela click on the following link

Now are these sites and photographs taken by Pakistanies?

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

are all those sadhus in kumbh mela are aghoris?..No. I have nothing against those sadhus. But, as far as aghoris goes, i will distance myself from their beliefs.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

Off topic but if someone answers my question it would be greatful - yesterday on zee tv i was watching this drama called ravan - and well as far as i know about the hindu religion isnt ravan the bad guy? i saw the drama from god knows which episode so i am confused, they are showing ravans childhood for now but what i ahve understood is that he was powerful as a child but at the same time he was a good kid who helped his siblings...did he lost his way while growing up or what? and oh was his real name dashanant?

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

^^ramayana in its current form is a mythical story(according to me). Actually, it is inspired from a true story... only thing is, it is heavily twisted so that people learn something from it(according to some). Ravana, though he had some bad triats, he was a great devotee of 'shiva' and he was the one who composed 'shiva tandava stotra'. Overall i would rate him as a great guy only.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

@ Teelobhain

Commercial oriented serials on Zee or Star as most of them are portrayed in over-dramatic ways, which sometimes looks like offensive.

The only serials, I liked were Mahabharat of BR Chopra-- accurately portrayed in best possible ways and also original Ramayana of Ramananda Sagar.

Anyway about your query, you have to read some portion of Ramcharitmanas of Tulsidas to know more about Ravan, it’s difficult to convey entire thing in few words as these are legends from Puran–suppose to be told to children for developement of character.

In Valmiki Ramayan as well Ravan is considered as the most lucky person, since he got killed by the hands of Lord Sri Hari Ram, hence liberated from the curse (the curse of sages and Brahmanas).

The name Dashanan–as asked by you is in fact literally means the One having ten heads.

Entire saga of Ravan will take a lot of time and patience to write.

However, if you are truelly interested in reading (even as a story), follow this link…it’s English Translation of Ramcharitmanas…takes some effort to grasp but once understood makes a lot of sense.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

Okay teelabhain.....my answer and matrubhumis answer contradicts. Now dont start questioning us as to which one is right. It wouldn't make any difference even if want to or try to know as to which one is correct.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

singh ji ---I agree with your previous post as well, it's a fact Ravan was a great devotee of Shiva and composed 'Shiva tandav stotra'.

However, as per my understanding legend of Ravan differs to some extent from north India and south India probably due to heavy influence of late Shaivite and Vaishnav school of thoughts.

Since me originally belong to UP hence Tulasidas Ramayan is preferred:D

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

^ Thanks both of you for your help...
i will slowly and gradually read from the sources you have given me Mat...(i am a slow reader and have exams these days :()

and ok singh je i wont ask who is right or wrong. happy?:p i guess difference of understanding/opinions exist in all the religions...so no worries.

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

One more question..what does matarbhoomi mean?

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

It's not 'matar' mere bhai....LoL..I know it's difficult to spell correctly.

Anyway, it means 'motherland' in Sanskrit ( just a Nationalist sentiment:D )

Re: Hindu Sadhus from Aghori

whatever influence it was, I also do not consider Rama as God. Will you agree with me here also?...I doubt so.:D
