Sometimes i just wonder why is there so much hatred in the world?!Is it because people have contrasting religious beliefs or because they want to prove their respective religion is supreme. There should not be hatred sparked by religion…atleast!Tell me one religion in the world which promotes hatred…i am sure there is none.Religion is a medium used by different people to communicate with God in their own ways.Mankind always looks out for excitement…i suppose…and this is why…for the sake of excitement…‘SOME’ people flare the religious sentiments for the masses who r used as baits to react on it for their own personal benefit of such ‘SOME’ people!AND they r successful…as the masses take the bait and react insensibly to create a rift between religions. Why not promote brotherhood/sisterhood between the world and start with consolidating the Hindu-Muslim ties with a dictum "Why is there enemity between Hindus and Muslims when even the Gods don’t want so.When there is ‘Ram’ in Ramzan and ‘Ali’ in Diwali why maintain the rift?? Lets promote world peace…and satisfy each and every religion. Why not start with the slogan “Hindu-Muslim Bhai Bhai…”???
Well said. I dont know how possible it is but at least the idea is definately noble.
It sure is difficult and may take over 3-4 decades or so...to attain this...but if people regarded it ,firstly,as being possible!Lets start our pursuit as a start is half the job complete.
I have noticed that tehre where are few desis, they try to stick together. At school, I am the only pakistani and the only muslim girl. Theres a few muslims guys but not a whole lot. BUt a lot of HINDUS!!! Most of them dont talk and just plain ignore but some of them do talk and its nice to be able to speak urdu to someone. So last time they had a hindi movie night they invited me. I thought that was a start.
May Allah bless us with sight to see whats right and wrong, AMeen.

Hey come on...if such analogies do help people come closer...then its a great one yaar.
My dear Spy, these ideas are really high and worthy, but tell me which religion does not teach hatred.
You have named only two that is Hindu and Muslim.
Have you read Manu Smriti of Hindus? Or have you read Quran of Muslims?
The basic fact is usually majority people of any community are good and friendly with each other, but when it comes to religion they look at each other as Lenin used to look at bourgeoisie.
So, now it is time for noble and wise people to accept that religions have always misguided us.
You will not need shouting, Bhai-Bhai.

No my dear friend...i haven't read either the Manu smriti or the Quran but the basic thing it tht every religion classifies acts into good and bad...and in no religion it is given tht hatred is good.
And yes we don't need shouting Bhai Bhai...but only once there is a feeling of brotherhood. But to kindle tht feeling of brotherhood we hav to first shout...so tht other people take the example.

I expected something like this from you. Anyway what Spy is saying is a good start. I have always said in my other relevant posts that the Indian culture and language are so close to Pakistan ( since we were the same kingdom at one time ) that we should benefit from one another and not fight all the time.
This fighting is making us weaker all the time and is putting our general public at a loss.
In an effort to balance the power we are putting public works efforts on the backburner. Since the governments are too busy making more tanks and bombs the general public welfare is left to the philanthropist efforts which are too far and in between to make a significant difference.
Dear Fayax, may be you do not know Indians and Pakis live in a very coordial atmosphere abroad.
I have only pointed to the religion'bigotry. Both the communities have lost a lot because of respective religions.
people keep focusing on the quetionable parts of each other's faith to diss them. and then people somehow forget to act upon the things like treating your fellow humans with love and respect.
it appears that a minority focuses on aspects of religion which can cause trouble between diff groups, and the same minority is not practising the aspects of mutual respect etc.
why play into the hands of such ppl..

Agree with your last statement there. But a start has to come from somewhere...why not from a simple post.
After all the idea for Southwest Airline was first made on a cocktail napkin.
Small start and a solid determination can change the world. One person at a time.
I agree with u dear Yahudi…tht the communities have lost a lot due respective religions…but using the terms ‘Hindu’ and ‘Muslim’ is made not from a religious perspective…but taking the diversity of nationalities of ‘Hindus’ and ‘Muslims’.Since what i perceive is not cordial atmosphere between Indians and Pakis…but Hindus,Muslims,Sikhs,Christians,Buddhists,Jains, etc, etc. and in turn cover the world as a whole.I exactly wanted to say…wat u wanna say…tht is love , peace ,harmony , mutual understanding must prevail irrespective of the religion followed.
But my point of differentiation from ur pov is tht these feelings should be achieved whilst practising their respective religion with chastity and without interference from people of other religions…
…If u see in turn…we both actually want to achieve the same thing…just that our perceptions are different. So…by mutual undersstandin and respect of fellow humans and their religions…i mean…that like we want to achieve the same goal…so can the world.I hope u agree with me… :k:
:k: :k: Great approach dude…we all together can change the world if we wish.
P.S. I know i am fighting a nearly lost battle…but that light of hope still remains…if not all then atleast the 10000 people with whom i come into contact and those 10000 might spread it further…

I do know. I live abroad and I have a lot of Indian friends. Hindu. If they are my friends here then they cant be my enemies in my homeland. I am not going to suddenly turn because the location of my abode has changed.
