But as far as I know, what has been stated by others is correct.
A Muslim woman must marry a Muslim man while the Muslim man can marry ehl-e-kitaab. A Muslim man cannot marry a non-believer or kaafir, or hindu etc.......in other words non-ehl-e-kitab.

I don't have a link right now but it is my understand that it is gunnah. I openly admit that I may be wrong but that's what I think. I'll do some more research on it.
