So what’s the point here?
Is it about feeling bad that a hindu converted to islam or is it about minority feeling threatened?
Two different issues. Try not to lump them together.
The event was broadcast without any threat to anyone or bashing any religion.
It is understandable that hindu person would not feel good about it. Similarly a muslim/Christian/whatver religion would not feel good on someone leaving his/her religion. Why not leave at that? Why stretch it to ‘oppression’, intimidation or fearful feeling? 
Are muslms not allowed to feel good for someone’s conversion to Islam in Islamic country?
This sort of criticism and media uproar is just to intimidate the anchor/TV channel and large population of muslims in their own country.
