Re: Hindu boy converts to Islam in Pakistan
No, this is what is wrong with Diwana. Look around on this thread, not all of us are fruitcakes. Thank you for understanding.
It’s like debating with Bill O’Reilly. He’s not missing the point, he’s deliberately ignoring it. He doesn’t believe minorities face discrimination in Pakistan. He openly admitted that he would rather a Hindu convert to Islam. He supports the blasphemy law and denies it needs amendment. He doesn’t understand what institutionalized discrimination means and denies the role of the Constitution in it. He disregards independent publications, and any evidence that contradicts his beliefs. However he chides others for being ‘intolerant’ and not ‘supporting freedom of choice.’
Schizophrenia? Beats me.
This is how it works. In order for the discussion to advance, certain premises need to be agreed on. If you do not accept that minorities face an intolerant environment, in which forced conversions are on the rise, you are then not obligated to entertain the controversy surrounding this publicized conversion. See? That’s the genius brand of Diwana Logic. He invents the rules of engagement, he invents the reasoning, he invents the conclusions. He calls it ‘debate,’ others call it bull manure. But one thing we can all agree on is the pervasive allure of that wink.
