Already understood the two sides of the argument, thanks. But I’m asking how does that mean that the naive lot are “siding with their own” when you agree that this was never about one community vs another?

I think he means simply that the issue isn’t about religion, another words, Hindu religion vs Muslim religion. Its about the majority community vs the minority community. The “naive” side with their own community.
