when you say religion and politics are separated do you mean if there is a divine ruling on some matter available, we should simply discard it and make one of our own according to our own whims and desires or better yet use the age old farangi taazeerat-e-Hind?

I mean’t region should not be part of equation in governance of the nation & no religious group should be given preferential treatment b/c of their religious beliefs. In other words, treat everyone equal in eyes of law & take religion out when making policy decisions.
