I remember when Zardari went to the US and visited Palin when she was a candidate for VP. He was really “enjoying” this meeting, how he called her “gorgeous” and actually talked about how might “hug” her.
I am wondering now may be he still has Palin in mind. 
May be that’s why chose Khar for an important job. So he is making use of sex appeal, just like McCain used Palin.

The only reason I compared her with Palin was her relatively young age, as compared to a typical foreign minister.

Instead of calling thread as silly/inappropriate may PPP supporters can tell us why she is given an important position like this? May be this time they wanted to get "yes sir yes sir" type person as Mahmood Qureshi refused to bow to the commands in Raymond Davis case.

Media Attention
After becoming the first women foreign minister of the country she first visited India for peace talks. Her first visit to India brought about much attention among the general public because the national media in the country was much talking about her beauty and her fashion instead of the talks at hand. Few sections in Indian Media,discussed Khar as style icon in detail,which included discussing the bag she carried,her shades,her pearl necklace among other things.

True that someone more qualified could have been chosen , but then this is zardari we are talking about ... very soon the nation will have a 25 year old as their president or a prime minister ( bilawal bhutto ) .. I wonder how many will come forward and say he's not of the right age !
But now that we have been imposed with Hina Rabbani .. might as well see if she can get things to turn in our favour ... its extremely important to move away from beauty and focus on the politics ... I think Indian Media is just trying to play with the average Pakistani mindset " women are only good to be beauty queens , they dont have brains " .... lets denounce that and focus our criticism on the political aspects of Hina Rabbani ..

I think there are 
considering all the kachra thats filled in the political world , she puts across her perspective in an educated manner , right or wrong but she maintains her dignity and I think to some extent she focuses on the opportunities for pakistan rather then the usual spiel that more experienced foreign ministers keep giving us …
Though one thing that I completely dislike about her and shows inexperience is that she uses too many words to express the actual point … communication isnt the most clear …
