Hijabi Brides

Re: Hijabi Brides

hijab is meant for covering head nd hair
for other body blouse and lehnga tht shouldn't define ur body size and shape(i mean loose)
if u(or ur make up artist) pin up your dupatta in away that covers ur head as well as hair
i think noneed of hijab.....simple

Re: Hijabi Brides

light and opaque dupatta can be useful

Re: whose going to be a 2010 bride????

What have other hijabis done, i dont plan on wearing a hijab-scarf on my wedding and walima, but will have the dupatta in such a way that should do the job-any experiences here?

Re: bridal pics with hijab....give me some idea

i love the way they have worn hijab in the 2nd link and i also saw pics of a pakistani bride with matching hijab. she had worn a tikka underneath it , so that only the end bit was showing on her forehead n it looked lovely

Some Orthodox Jewish women do that.

I think its probably one of the most absurd and laughable examples of people trying to follow the letter of the law while completely failing to understand its purpose and intent.

To the original poster - we already have a lengthy thread on this topic with many pictures, feel free to take a look there:

Re: bridal pics with hijab…give me some idea

I have one suggestion for hijabi brides. If you are having your jora custom made - opt for a high standup collar (like a nehru collar) that is closed and long sleeves. It looks very graceful and you can avoid the wearing the turtle neck or other shirt under the kameez. There is a pic somewhere in one of the other threads showing this and IMO it’s the best way of covering while still looking elegant. Just my two cents…

Wait, I just found the link:

The neck can be made even higher and if you look at it - the fabric between the standup collar and the v-neck is plain - which allows the necklace to be visible.

Re: Hijabi Brides

hey dearrrrrrrrrrsssss freinds

SOME TIPS

i was thinking alot thses days...here & there in foreginer pakistani bride i asked alot wat to do...As i wanted something so nice for hijab that my in laws wont feel it like scarf hijab...
i was a bit sad...asked allah wats pro if i want keep my hijab...im so disapointed so plz ur help me...

some ideas i had for necki had but for hairs i was out of idea...that today in one second something came in my mind...wish to share with my dear sisters who cares for hijab...

first to those who thinks covering hairs isnt matter while u have make up...i should say as a freind be4 said...dont judje be4 knowing ppl...all girls who cares for hijab they do their best to cover as much as possible...cuz she has make up means then if she can covers hairs she shouldnt????
anyway as bride u r in eyes of ppl with make up or without...with jewl or without...hijab means for less attraction that as bride u r in center anyway so me or any girl like me wish to keep as much as possible for us...

anyway...
my ideas....

neck:u can make ur dress colar set according ur jewl...so till its come to ur necklace..

just design ur necklace to start from upper neck & cover a circle arround ur neck ....also work on it with stones or etc to not have empty pores on it to show ur neck.......so as it will start from circle of neck to downer...so ur jewl also will be nice than being on dress...but still a circle in upper side of neck circle will be left that i decide to cover it with a floweral or any nice design of cloth...to tie arroind neck & in one side tie like flower or etc....so it will match with dress & also no one feel it like scarf ...

wats ur idea regard this????

for make up:
thanks God my in laws r not after heavy make up...so ill say to do as less as possible make up & instead do method on my skin to seem more shining...im already white but if i see fresh its main than make up...so she can make me more nice with doing instead doing heavy colors & mad colors...so that way beauty will seem natural more...

for hairs:
this idea just came to my mind today...so ill think more abt its design & etc...
as my Mom in law wants to give me an old taj on my head...so it wasnt possible for me to wear scarf if i do so she will mind sooooooooooo much ...
so i decide according to taj size & style(as i didnt see that be4)...i prder to bring rose flower or any small matching flower with my dress...to cover my haors back or front taj depnd on where they will put taj...

im not pakistani...so in make up here i saw flower make up on hairs...as here with white dress no one do hijab so it was just some do floweral taj on head...now i was thinking....so why i cant match that floweral taj with gold taj in a nice design then no one feels hijab...

plz girls dont mind why i dont want my hijab feels...its not becuz i shy from my hijab or etc...
its bcuz i want care my in laws that they dont feel it...as they dont have my nikah pics as i had seprate nikah pics here as all white dresses r naked...so any of my in laws still didnt see me in nikah dresses...so they had wished...but cuz they didnt promise to not show to the men my husband on my behalf didnt let them to take pics...but still we decide here according us...there according them...so they feel if i do hijab its my family culture(they dont consider hijab as my belifes that much....)...so they wish pakistani tradtion look for me...as we decide here according us...there according them...

so im not shy of my hijab & after wedding there is nothing relate to the,...but for wedding i wanted something as design that they dont feel my hijab....yet they know i care so they want long sleeve for me...but they will mind full covering hairs with scarf...just they dont like it so it came on my mind abt neck floweral tie & floweral taj on hairs...

so any idea????
wats ur idea abt my designs???
i never matched hijab with bridal dress,,,here dresses r naked so we makeseprate as we cant find hijabi dress...

so for pakistani style...i dont know...i dont have ur dresses to try thse desings with them...have anyone any pics of such designs i explianed????

hey have any of you considered wearing a black/dark brown hijab to cover just your hair and a high collar t-shirt that matches your dress? I actually really like the look Afshi has there, but sometimes, wearing a matching hijab doesn’t match the complexion as well (like white does not suit everyone) or sometimes if the dupatta has cutwork or netting, the design requires some contrast. I dunno, just giving some suggestions, No idea how they’ll work out.

like here with the yellow hijab- i think she should have gone for a diff color:

Hey guys...

Just a suggestion, if hijabi brides wanna look really 'pakistani' with tikka and everything. why not have a partitioned wedding?? I went to one last year and it was set out really good. There were two halls in one building and the girls side had female waiters, a camerawomen and lady security guards...lol
So the bride was free to wear however style she likes...
And for the photos with the dulha, the dulha and his bro or sumfin cam to the ladies section after announcing to hijabis to cover up, and took photos and stuff...I thought that was an awesum arrangement and every1 had fun..so why not...

Re: Hijabi Brides

^I agree. That's how we always have it in our family. I take a niqaab and everything, but I'm definitely going to go all out in dressing up at my wedding, but only in front of the ladies and later, my husband :)

^
I agree.

I don't wear hejab myself, but the concept of a segregated wedding certainly seems more consistent with the idea behind hejab than loading on makeup and jewelry (and a scarf) and sitting on stage in front of a couple hundred men.
