Hijabi Brides

Re: Hijabi Brides

To quote your earlier post, hejab is "about modesty." If you really feel so modest that you need to keep the outside world from seeing your hair/neck/arms, then I don't understand how you rationalize dressing up precisely for the purpose of attracting attention to yourself and sitting on stage in front of a couple hundred men. I would also argue that you're technically paying for and setting up a venue where hundreds of dressed and made-up women (many, if not most, without proper hejab) are freely mixing with men (who likely are not walking around with their gaze lowered) - again, if you're conservative enough to believe in hejab, I don't understand how you rationalize that.

I guess you "really need to understand the real meaning of hejab" to understand the glaring ideological inconsistency I'm pointing out. Anyways, to each his own. I really couldn't care less about what you wear or what you plan on doing at your wedding...I was just making an observation.
