u dont need teh whole hijab. a front strip/badana is also suitable, if one doesnt have a mattha pathi thing.
it annoys me when I see hijabi brides that bring the dupattta all the way to the front, and their hair is peaking out from the sides. might was well push the dupatta back.
and please please..hijabi brides...its also about your neck/gala..please cover it. what's more important, covering yourself or displaying your assets...erm...jewellery?
dear Afshi, i saved this pic during general browsing about hijabi brides.Moderators can remove this pic as i don't know how to remove it .U r always welcome.

look at arab or even iranian hijab brides. Thees a site called coture hijab or something similar , they make hijabs for brides n their desses. i think it depends onwhat ind of fabric is used and if the bride can cary it off.
A friend of min actually had worn a beige outfit for the nikkah and same coloured scarf n had the duppata over that. she looked stunning MA. better than her mayon, wedding n valima where she didnt wear hijab as it was segregated. the dupatta was of net and the edges were worked heavily specially the part that goes on the forehead n she was lukin really beutiful.
only thing i don't like is when hijabi brides try n show their earrings even thou wearing a scarf. THey r taking so much trouble might as well go all the way. Neways who am i to judge , must be hard to cover ur hair on the day the spotlights on u! specially wd every1 else dressing up to the nines.
but personally i really dont like this look for a hijabi bride. especially in teh first pic. yes, the hair is covered, but not really much else. I think its styling of the dupatta that is throwing off the whole look. Reminds me of those sikh punjabi girls that cover their hair with their turbans (no offence)
Agreed, I’m sure there are a few girls that could suit the other way but if you want the necklaces and everything I agree with the turtleneck-ey top and full dupatta
I saw a Malaysian wedding somewhere, the bride was hijabi and looked beautiful, the thing that really made it was that all the bridesmaids and her family were hijabis and all of them wore it a certain way. It looked wonderful.
I love that but I’m not sure how practical it would be, maybe if someone had a themed mehndi?
How about wearing the dupatta pinned near your forehead as many brides do, but then instead of baring all your neck and chest, wearing a kameez with a chinese-style collar? That way your neck is still covered but you don't have to wear the extra layer underneath.
