Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

Im actually feeling so down, im gonna be an ugly bride :frowning:

I don’t want to wear the scarf, but hiding the hair with dupatta WITHOUT looking bald seems impossible…

Seriously this is really making me scared, i wont look good as a bride..im sure..

I cant find any decent way of hiding the hair… :frowning:

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

You won't look ugly, so don't worry about that!

Are you willing to show your neck or do you want that covered?

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

The dupatta already covers the head, you'll just be covering a little more than other brides. Plus if you're wearing jewelry then don't drape it too close to the neck. If you don't want to wear a scarf, you don't have to- cheer up!

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

oh thankuuu for helping =)

I can do something about the neck, but the hair seems harder to cover. I mean it looks like im completely bald, its seriously looking really bad on me :(...

milkchoclate i know, but it seems like even a few strands of hair makes one look good, but covering the hair completely isnt suiting me atleast...i dont know what to do..

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

And another problem - the neck area seems so "naked" even if i wear a chinese collor neck

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

Nuclear war?

Oh.. It's just MissN having a panic attack, no worries, :p

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

ceo1...its not even funny, looking ugly on your wedding day is every girls biggest nightmare...if only u knew sighssss =(

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

I think you're unnecessarily worrying. I'm sure you'll look mighty fine. :D (am I allowed to say that? )

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

Have the hair done in a high bun so the dupatta doesn't fall flat. Plus, you'll be wearing a tika probably. there are also those tika type things that cover your whole hairline. I know what you're trying to say, if showing even a little hair is not an option for you (I know a hijabi bride who did that for her wedding) then I'm sure you can find an alternative with some research. Also, if your necklace is heavy you can use that in place of a high neck.

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

awww ceo1, now thats like a true gentleman haha!

i think i know what you mean…im afraid it won’t suit me.

i thought something like this would look good:

but then when i tried with a normal dupatta, i seriously look bad.
I dont know maybe it suits a certain type of face shape hmmm

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

As long as you have your hair up in a bun, you should be fine - it makes a huge difference!

If you don’t want to show your neck, you can either cover up with jewellery as someone mentioned or get a silk fabric made to wear under your shirt that covers upto your neck.

This is how I had my dupatta for my mehendi- I had my neck exposed.

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

To combat the issue of looking bald with the dupatta, I suggest wearing a matha patti (I think that's what they're called). This way you won't look bald because they usually cover the hair anyway so it won't make a difference whether it's on your hair, or on your hijab.

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

I think it looks rather elegant. what material is your duppata ? If it’s net/see through I suggest to wear silk scarf underneathand tie it up in teh arabian /turkish style and wear the duppata on top. I saw a bride wear it couple of years ago and she looked stunning. Her pic was even posted in a similar thread those years back.
Also the key is that the duppata must be prominent so wear a lighter tone shade underneath.Otherwise for eg: red scarf, withred dopes heavily worked and with makeup jewelry it’s easily going to be OTT.
And have some courage, Shaitan just discourages us from when we want to take a stand for what we believe in. I’m sure you’ll look beautiful .I’ve yet to see an ugly bride, seriously, they might be wearing Over done clothes etc but damn right ugly? Stay strong and enjoy ur wedding process.

Check out this bride..you dont have to and you wont look ugly just because you’re a hijabi bride inshAllah, infact you will look prettier than most others

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

There are plenty of ways of draping the dupatta without wearing a scarf underneath. Here is one example where the dupatta has been pinned gracefully, yet still covers the hair: Amna and Haseeb | Sneak Peek « Ottawa and Toronto Based International South Asian Wedding Photographer | Amna Hakim Photography - You can improvise on the neck covering by either wearing a turtle-neck, or cleverly covering any skin with a necklace.

There are plenty of other examples in the ‘Hijabi Brides’ thread.

P.S. Please don’t stress, you will look beautiful

Re: Hijabi bride - How do i hide the front hair?

Maybe have your hijab just so the shadow of your hair line shows, that will stop you looking bold but seriously they don’t look bold!
