I almost behaved as you when somebody at work told me to hold a envelope that supposedly had snake eggs inside,
and when I held it, the envelope started shaking and jittering. Nasty prank that was. Although, later I thought it was cool.

the legend was about Monitor lizard as it is one reptile known as ghorpar in marathi....
Pangolin is different thing
oh okay.. in kerala, there are stories of the pangolin being used by some tribes from malabar to scale forts. they tie a rope around it, toss it up and it goes and wedges itself right into crevices with its scales. and a child is sent up the rope with a fresh rope.
