Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

I want to be very honest with you, I could not utter a single word. I was so scared :hehe:

No :frowning:

I have a history of living my life with creep crawleys. Another time I was house-sitting the house of my neighbors who were gone for hajj, and slept in their outside guest room, without knowing that there was a big rat hiding under the pillow. That guy tried to escape by trying to dig a tunnel through my head that was blocking his access. I woke up with sharp nails digging inside my skull. Rat jumped outside the open window as soon as i screamingly jumped out of the bed.

Not the mention the time when I was, along with my family, sitting on the floor, eating my dinner (I was about 4-5). A fat brownish yellow lizard dropped on my leg from the ceiling. I though that it was roti ka tukra and about to grab it to put in my mouth :hehe:. My mom’s scream scared me and the lizard away

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

All he wants is that lizard. Very close to him.

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

Has anyone else heard that Urban Legend about the bride who was at a salon in karachi getting ready for her wedding day when a chipkali fell off the wall or something into her hairdo

She complained to the salon wali that she could feel something moving in her head, and it was itching but they wouldn’t listen to her. Apparently, the lizard bit her or poisoned her or something and she died there in the salon, but the salon walay tried to cover it up…

I think this took place in the late eighties early nineties… :hmmm:

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

i have a feeling it might have been the lizard that died :\

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

Yeah, I heard of that.

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

Damn Monitor lizards are usefull. I once saw a duel between one of them and a Cobra… needless to say the Cobra got eaten.

I wish I could have one as a pet, thing is with little kids around and a Wife who has a fear of most reptiles thats not really feasable.

Good to see they are still around even in the most unusual of places. Hats off to the cousin for letting it go, my cousins would have made a trophy out of it. :smack:

Now what would have been really scary was a massive python finding its way into your home, trust me one of those sliding across the floor would even make me recoil and reach for the nearest weapon.

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

monitor lizard is the one which was used to hold the rope for climbing on wall of forts by maratha armies?

Re: Hi, can I be your friend?

For the record I have not heard or seen any posionous Asian lizard or gecko… at least none on the mainland.

In the United States and Central America there is a venomous Lizard called the “Heela Monster” never saw one but my Mescelaro friends always mentioned it and they swore that its venom is deadly…

Also theres an Island off Indonesia where the largest Lizard the Komodo Dragon resides and that definately has toxic saliva that causes massive cytotoxic reactions.

But I am not aware of any other venomous lizards. Snakes yeah theres tonnes of those (although in the case of things like Pythons you dont need poison to kill) but never have I heard of a posouinous lizard in Asian mainland. There might well be but I’m highly skeptical right now
