Hello - I am back from Pakistan - after thinking ACK - forced marriage.
I stood my ground in Pakistan and I am not married. I don’t like the dude and I am over the moon, my parents are surprisingly over it too.
But I have another dilemma - I like another cousin…
AHEM.
Thing is - hes younger by quite a bit, and again lack education - but we get on SO well. Also not sure if its just a mini crush - Or what.
Hes just like someone born here - in thinking, always smiling, not sure if I am confusing our relationship with friendship or something deeper.
Hes just like me an over grown kid. I am not sure if he likes me back - but he did say he liked what I was wearing a few times, I saw him looking at me (on the sly) quite a few times, he sat with me on the way to the airport etc, but that could be just because your my friend/cousin.
He also stroked my hair when it was down a few times, but the second time retracted it when my mum walked into the room.
Thing is he likes this other girl - but hasn’t contacted her for 2 weeks. Now. I am not sure why. I also have his number and he texts me, hes really friendly like crazily friendly so I could be just confusing myself -
What do you all think? How do I find out if he likes me? I really want to say to my parents - that I like him… LOL.
Also I find it crazy that I have a crush on someone like this! but he said to me we are exactly the same - hes right!
Well what more answers are you looking for? Something along the lines of "go for it ja simran apnay pyaar kay pass" After creating such a huge fuss over another guy, who is exactly like the guy you have a crush on right now, and giving the reasons for rejection that the same guy has right now. The only diff is, that you just happen to like this guy?
Oh, and not to mention that he is into, or with another girl, and he might just perhaps be cheating on her with you and you're perfectly fine with that.
I guess the heart wants what the heart wants, until the heart doesn’t want it anymore.
Not to discourage you, but step back and answer a few questions for yourself:
Is this real like and affection or is it just a crush on your part? What about him - is he a flirt or does he genuinely like you?
Based on what you know of him, could this relationship between the two of you work - are you compatible?
How supportive would the family be for this rishta given that you said no to the other cousin?
Think long and hard and then figure out whether you want to even consider this or nip this in the bud as a fleeting crush. Oh, and erm, congrats on not marrying the other cousin
Serious answer. You like him. It seems like he likes you, though the whole thing about the other girl sounds a bit strange, so you may wanna get that situation clarified. Maybe stay in touch with him, and see how things go.
You've also said he likes another girl so why go after him and also doesn't that show he doesn't like you? :/
And I don't know I have my views on cousin marriages and they're like sisters so a younger cousin stroking the older cousin's hair is a bit weird to say the least :s
