come again ... do i feel a hint of sarcasm there???
My mother comes first for me (alhumdullilah). I thought the question was about spouses in which case I will only love my wife and not another mistress or something to that effect. But my amma will always be number one in my heart.
I like the way you think chacha sahaab. :)
hey i was just picking on the word only in ur previous post ... my post above my response to you was referring to many women in that sense as well :)
One thing you have to rememeber is that in Islam, men are only required to provide for their wives equally, not necessarily love them equally. Even the Prophet pbuh had his favorites (for example, Aisha RA vs. Zainab bint Jahsh RA), and that's human nature.
I have a son of my own, and I pray that when he gets married, he loves and respects his wife limitlessly and that I never become the kind of woman who competes for her son's affections from his wife.
Print it out, and keep it safe and later compare it to your feelings once your son will get married.
the question was can a guy love more than 1 woman & like some1 said love, trust & loyalty go hand in hand, but that don't mean a guy can't love 2 or more women without being loyal to all of them as long as all the women involved accepted the situation in their hearts without external pressures. But in real life these women don't exist or if they do it'd be a miracle if you found 1 & for that reason i'm against mutiple wives, not to say a man wouldn't be totally satisfied with 1 woman who's right for him, i'm just pointing out than men think differently to women when it comes to love, it's probably an instinct we carry from when we still lived in caves hunting each others kids for breakfast, but which isn't practical in these times. most men don't want more than 1 wife, just think of it as a potential in guys minds, doesn't mean it's an active part of the way a guy thinks.
