I don’t think you know a squat about Balochistan. We the majority of Paks have in fact relied on Sardars to rule the area. We my dear have pitted one set of Sardars against the other. We paid our tax payer’s hard earned money to “our Sardars”, so they could go and kill “Sardars who aren’t ours”.
This was easy cop out. Wasn’t it? You charge tax payers let’s say 1 million for Sardars. Keep half and give the other half to him. Fair deal. Everyone happy.
Unfortunately everyone has not been happy. You know why, because this 50/50 split of bribe money is looting the tax payers and denying the Baloch people their right to the development and prosperity.
When those dirt poor people of Balochistan rise up against this unfair deal, we bring in our precious soldiers to put them down.
So many governments have come and gone and the Baloch are still dirt poor. Sure their is plenty of blame to go around. May be Balochis themselves are to blamed first. But the thingy shouldn’t stop there.
What will it take to build 6 lane toll Motorways crisscrossing our largest province? Nothing but a will power on part of Pak majority. People in smaller provinces look at Lahore-Islamabad or Karachi-Hyderabad expressways and ask why don’t they have good roads like these.
Why it is not happening? Because we just want to kill some b@$tards and move on with our marry ways. Easy isn’t it?

We shouldnt have paid these sadars a penny. You can make this as complicated as you want but bottom line is Bugti is a traitor.
The reason they dont have motor ways or other infastructure is becuase their so called leaders dont allow any development. It will weaken their rule. they dont want peopl;e or good coming in and out. it brings money, enterprise and ideas. They want an enviroment where they are the providers, they make the rules and do as they please.

China workers killed in Pakistan
Three Chinese engineers have been killed by gunmen in Pakistan's troubled south-western province of Balochistan, police have said.
Their Pakistani driver also died in the attack in the town of Hab, near Karachi. The engineers had worked at a local cement plant, police said.
Unconfirmed reports say the Baloch Liberation Army claimed the attack.
Chinese workers have been targeted in recent years by local militants involved in a long-running insurgency.
'Act of terrorism'
The engineers and their drivers were ambushed in their vehicle by gunmen on motorcycles, police said.
The attackers struck as the workers were leaving the Attock cement factory.
Two Chinese died on the spot while the third succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Karachi, police said.
They said engineers were not accompanied by their guards at the time of the attack.
A local police chief condemned the incident as "an open act of terrorism".
"Terrorists have killed innocent Chinese who have come to work here to help Pakistan," Pervez Zahoor was quoted as saying by the Associated Press news agency.
Close ties
In recent years, Chinese workers have been the target of militant attacks in Balochistan, where an insurgency involving armed tribal nationalists has been going on for some time, the BBC's Zaffar Abbas in Pakistan says.
A large number of Chinese construction engineers and technicians have been working on various state-run projects across Pakistan.
In Balochistan, they have been mostly involved in the construction of a big port at Gwadar.
Pakistan has very close relations with China as Beijing has been its major supporter in defence and other projects, our correspondent says.
The latest incident comes as President Pervez Musharraf is scheduled to make an official visit to Beijing over the weekend.
In May 2004, three Chinese port workers were killed in a similar attack.

I sympathize with the problems of Balochistan and support provincial autonomy for all provinces. My stand against Punjab's domination is clear.
But it seems like the BLA/Sardars are now targeting their own future more than anything else. They need foreign investment and expertise no matter what.

Bugti wasnt earning money from cement production so that a No No. If he was supplying the workforce or materials then it would have been fine

There should be some consistency while making justification...West is then right what is it doing to the oil-resources of the Middle East...Resources should be used the buyers and prices should be decided by the Baluchis..

erm the BLA as an organisation is not targeting Punjai civilians...of course there are or there MIGHT be individuals who have done.......one has to use the word MIGHT because the Balochis really do not have a voice so it's easy to get led away by views that are aired......
i dont see how your average decent Baloch woud target Punjabi civilians as it goes against their nature and culture......it could very well be that the ISI could be behind such killings to turn opinion against the Baloch
it's a shame how Pakistan can afford to send gas from Balochistan all the way to Sialkot but Balochistan did not get any help during the droughts it suffered.
The Balochies simply need to be given more control over their own resources. until that does not happen, the area will be under a constant state of civil war.

Oh Khan Ji. Balochis needs more control for sure. Unfortunately “Balochis” is a term being used to represent only the big Sardars. For ordinary Balochi, what do you think this contorl means?

Of the 75 big-small Sardars, 72 are allied with Punjab-based establishment, including Jam of Lasbela, the present Chief Minister of Baluchistan. In Makran, there is no Sardari system still Baluchis are agitating...Still it is correct that Baluch masses in general should benefit from exploitation of resources...
Although, it is true Baluch Sardars, most of whom are allied with the establishment, are oppressive, but when it comes to the question "who should benefit from Baluchistan resources, Baluch Sardars or people not native to Baluchistan?", the logical answer would be "the Baluch Sardars" because they are at leat sons of the soil of Baluchistan...
In fact, Baluchis masses have to wage struggle on two fronts; Baluch Sardars and the establishment...establishment that wants to use the resources and strategic importance of Baluchistan for development elsewhere e.g. in Lahore or people from elsewhere....
Now what would happen if the Baluch masses turn against their Sardars...in this case the most likely scenarion is, the Sardars will strike an alliance with the establishment...
