So it is your stereotype thinking which led you to conclude that because he is from iraq and Iraq is a Muslim country therefore Muslims are to be blamed. What brilliant thinking. regardless fo the fact that he himself blamed it on Iraqi culture you are not prepared to believe him. What does he know, you know better. Majority of muslims live in central & far-eastern Asia and we don’t hear about any incidents associating them with these so-called honour killings? does that mean they are not following Islam? if not then why there are many extremists groups associated with al-qaeeda appear from there? because IF ISLAM is preaching extremism and encouraging Muslims to kill their women in the name of honour then they would be doing the same thing like other muslims originated from the sub-continent.

If we look closely then 80% of these crimes (by Muslim males) are committed by muslims with Pakistani, Indian & Bangladeshi roots, which indicates that it’s more of a CULTURAL thing than religious practice.

Copenhagen - A Palestinian father hit a Danish primary school teacher and bit his ear after he shook the hand of the man’s daughter, police said on Thursday.

The 47-year-old Danish teacher of Moroccan origin had invited the father and daughter for a meeting at the school in the town of Vollsmose on Wednesday when he was “repeatedly hit and bitten in the ear”, police said.

“The father, a Palestinian, apparently became furious that the teacher had greeted his daughter just before a meeting,” Joergen Andersen, police superintendent in the nearby city of Odense, told AFP.

The 33-year-old father, a Muslim, said the teacher had “gone too far and offended his honour”, Andersen said.

“The man is apparently not a fundamentalist,” Andersen said. But he “could not accept this handshake between the teacher and his daughter”.

The father told police he had “lost his cool” because of what he considered the teacher’s “indecent” behaviour, Andersen said.

The teacher was treated at a hospital and put on sick leave.

The father was charged with assault on a public service employee. He was arrested and released on Thursday.

“It’s the first time that a teacher is the victim of such violence in Denmark,” Odense mayor Anker Boye told TV2 News television.

Crimes have no excuses.

There is a big problem with this paragraph.

Crime of jealousy is worldwide. Nothing to do with muslims only. And I am not sure where this 80% came from if one looks in to universal nature of crimes of passion, jealousy across the world.

Of course crime of passion IS common worldwide irrespective of criminal's colour and religion, but these crimes are not crimes of passion. In most cases of honour killings, the victim's family members (father or brothers) are involved. There are some incidents of cousins killing their cousins out of jealousy OR settle family/inheritance disputes and then giving it honour killing colour. Which again is all about wealth and has nothing to do with religion or Islam.

1-Agreed that what people call these days 'honor killing' has nothing to do with Islam.

2- Also, crime of passion or out of honor does have a lot to do with what we hear about honor killing. This is what I mentioned to be worldwide. If this involves one person or family member as accomplice, the idea in nut-shell is same. In countries where families mind their own business, cousins and other family members would be difficult to be found to be accomplice merely to commit a crime of passion.

3-When you mentioned about 80% number, and mentioned muslims from three countries, that is where the problem lied. Thanks for clarifying though.

This honor killing thing has its roots deep in Hinduism, where the girls were killed right after they were born. Or the widows are burnt alive along with husbands and so on. The highest number of abortions in the world for baby girls is in india. Why? Because mostly they fear the girls will bring a bad name to the family.

This horrible act of honor killing is being carried out in civilized societies like Germany, USA and almost every where and their number is no less than Muslims. Only they are called “family drama” in those cases..

The media hates Muslims and that's why it only has us in the limelight, other socities have just as many bad apples as us. Hindus kill their daughers for marrying low/dirty castes and Sikhs too kill their daughters for eloping with Muslim boys.

Ok what part of "NO TROLLING" you don't understand? Others also bash WEST but in your case all your posts are aimed to target Pakistan, Islam and Muslims in general. I had enough of this drama now.
