You have a choice live in an Islamic society or be greedy and move to the west, if you choose the latter don't complain if you're kids turn out alcoholics and fornicators.
The guy deserves to be condemned but I don't understand why the media singles out Muslims to report on, never anything about Sikh fathers/brothers killing/threatening their daughters in the name of honour for marrying Muslim boys, and it does happen.
I know of BNP types who beat their daughters black n blue for dating Paki lads but they never get mentioned in the newspapers, as soon as one Muslim steps out of line it hits the headlines..

Sad but true. There are reportedly a million and a half Hindus in the UK yet how often do we hear about them shipping their daughters off to India for forced marriages or honour killings? All the statistics show that us Muslims do it far more, I'm not saying these things don't happen in other communities cos obviously they do but the problems are far worse amongst Muslim desis. I posted the figures for forced marriage the other day in another thread and not surprisingly Pakistanis were by far the worst culprits. Indians seem to have, for the most part, left this cultural BS behind whilst for some reason we're far far slower at condemning this behaviour and putting a stop to it :(

Useless thread. Biased and one sided. Not that these terrible acts do not occur and not agreeing with these but if someone start posting non-pakistani and non-muslim acts then this forum will be full of those threads also. If any sense is left in some people here, start googling some other news also. But I am sure it is too much to ask. :-)

Her crime was to change her status to single. Bad people belong to any country, society or so called ‘religion’. This person’s act should not give anyone reason to bash muslims.

diwana, you continue to be blind to the fact that Muslims who commit these acts often cite culture and Islamic religious beliefs to justify their barbarity.
The two examples you mentioned lack the religious justification in their cases.

Because Iraq is a Muslim country and such behavior is more commonplace with Muslim immigrants who are not interested in integrating to a country they chose to migrate to.
Chances are this Iraqi immigrant wasn't a Chaldean/Assyrian because Iraqi Christians don't engage in this behavior like the Muslim Iraqis often do.
