here is a teaser :

IF you stood up, you will fall…

is this logical fear or what?

Re: here is a teaser :

**Yes indeed if you are on a moving train that is about to stop!.........:) **

Re: here is a teaser :

yeah sure....waves rise only to fall

Re: here is a teaser :

no this is equal- opposite reaction hypothesis

Re: here is a teaser :

if you stood up against a more powerful enemy, you will fall.

Re: here is a teaser :

If you stood up, you will be tall!

Re: here is a teaser :

Actually this is about arrogance

Re: here is a teaser :

& some peole do not make their life decisions, because of such generalized fears.

how wrong is that?

Re: here is a teaser :

Dushwari ... I don't think it is a universally correct statement. It is most probably intended within a context.

I see it talking about arrogance ... that if we stand up with arrogance then God will not let us succeed (fall). That is what happened to Satan.

I don't see the phrase suitable for covering the definition of 'struggle' ... because to struggle for good and getting higher, but attirbuting that success to God, then that is humility. And that is what leads us to the Mercy of God.

What goes up must come down is not always true, nor is this phrase. Some people quite easily stand and then quite consciously sit down and do not fall.

If people make life decisions based on these words of generalia, then I blame them not the words.

Re: here is a teaser :

Hareem01,

i agree with you absolutely. it is not a universal statement.

but the relevance is for those cases that do come under the pressure of some logic that prevents them from making a decision, since they are so caught up in the risk of the action they might execute.

people go back on their words, too, you know.
& that is heart wrenching...

Re: here is a teaser :

nice cute thought, thanks aly-sam.

If I was actually taller than I am, still things would have been perhaps still bleak for me. but that is another topic, for a whole different time.
