It's an ancient thread but I felt sad reading it as well...especially after having read the more recent thread by DMlove among others. Things seem worse now than they did 10 years ago. People dont take nikkah seriously. The sad reality is that it's not just the couple themselves; it's also their parents that don't understand the gravity of a nikkah. You 'd think the older generation would have more regard but their backward notions and egos and meddling destroy marriages and homes.
