Thanks guys for your responses and ideas. I’ve decided that yes I am going to toughen up and be just as stubborn as my husband when it comes to this issue. I’ve softly hinted that things need to change because being forceful leads to unnecessary confrontation and last week we had one evening at home and another evening when he went to see his mum and dad and I invited some friends over. We’re having a weekend away next week which I’m really looking forward to. I’m going to find some evening classes locally so that I can be a little more independent.
I’ve made a menu plan and have been cooking the odd dish at home. Husband has enjoyed the lunches/breakfasts I’ve made My in laws aren’t happy (grandfather in law made a barbed comment last night about how daughter in laws these days want to split families up and change family dynamics) but I’ve realised I need to put myself first. Just waiting to hear when IVF will start so please keep me in your duas!
