HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Please suggest the best viginal birth after c-section Doctor in Multan. I just had my first baby through c-section due to baby head not engaged and my doctor didn’t provide me enough information on normal delivery through induction. Induction scares me to hell knowing it hurts so much more than the actual.labour pains :frowning: the Doctor asked me if i want to be induced or c-section? and totally left the decision on me. I asked him again and again but he was just saying how can i suggest you? It is your decision. I got so nervous and due to less info i opted for a c-section :frowning: i really really want to have a viginal delivery next time so please HELP!!

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Being induced doesn't necessarily mean labor will be more painful, where did you get that idea from? I was induced at 37 1/2 weeks with pitocin and I had a completely natural vaginal birth with no epidural. My entire labor to delivery was under 4 hours. Everybody has a different tolerance level, it's best not to go in with preconceived notions on how bad pain will be.

Do you know what inducing labor means? In basic terminology it means that you’re bringing on the contractions through some other means than your own body making it happen. Once you induce aka start the labor, the body takes over and it eventually and hopefully leads to vaginal delivery, and not via a c-section. It has nothing to do with increased pain. Yes it’s painful, contractions are painful, but they will be so whether you spontaneously enter labor or you’re induced. Seriously, instead of you freaking out, just google what induction means. Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

With VBaC induction is not recommended as it increases the chances of scar rupture. Hopefully someone can suggest a supportive doctor. Were you over due with your first?

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

I had natural pains with my first and pitocin induced ones with my second. The pitocin ones were definitely more painful. However, you can opt for an epidural injection. Try to find a hospital that gives those injections in Multan. A big and good hospital should have these. City hospital in Multan has epidurals for labor pain. Find out more. Also, its not necessary that you will be induced the second time too.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Doctors in Multan and other smaller cities tend to dupe patients into going for the c-section cos it costs more... he left the choice on you cos the avrg person doesn't know the difference. The 'trend' is finally turning around and bigger cities like Islamabad and Karachi are finally more natural birth-supportive.

As for pitocin vs natural labor pains... pitocin feels more painful cos your body immediately goes from 1 on the pain scale to a 10.. and the contractions stay at 10 pretty much the entire time. In natural labor... the body builds up those contractions to a 10 slowly... making it more bearable - 'less' painful.

I feel bad for u but the best thing to do is make sure u stay active and whenever u get an ultrasound next, confirm that baby is head down. Let labor pains start at home and stay at home as long as u can (if ur water hasn't broken). In pakisan, i think that's the best way. And find a reputable doctor in larger hospitals that support vaginal birth.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Yes hmmna i was 9 days overdue with my first and he is currently almost a month old. On the 9th day c-section was performed.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Yes Exactly that's why i was so scared to get induced :( the baby was head down but he did not drop in the pelvis. I waited for natural pains and got a weeks overdue, till 41 weeks... But then the doctor said we do not take responsibility if you are 42 weeks because placenta will become less efficient, if you wait too long it will be dangerous to the baby... My hubby and i got panicked and then this happened...

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Yes dear i went to city hospital... I asked the Doc about epidural but they never provide any information. They just handed us a consent form. Thanks to my research that i had done throughout pregnancy because otherwise i wouldn't have known a thing. I went to the male doctor in there... Have you heard good reviews about Dr. Shazia in City hospital? If yes then pleeeease share. Thanks

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

I don't know about Dr Shazia. But I took an epidural in both deliveries ( not in Pakistan). After that you won't feel the internal exams or the water breaking procedure. Even in Pakistan in larger hospitals at least they try to do non emergency c- sections with epidurals. At least in Karachi, epidurals for childbirth have been around for almost 20 years.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Rainbow I have also gone through same situation, I was one day overdue with my baby and had no dilation and no labour pains. Baby position changed from head down to slightly oblique before 16 days of due date. Even baby again went to head down position on due date but did not drop into pelvis. My doctor did c section on next day of due date.
Well, I wish VBAC will be possible for me with my next child IA.
Girls, plz share proven tips for successful VBAC.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

If someone has a practical experience with a good doctor supportive for VBAC in Lahore plz tell me
I had never thought of c section during my whole pregnancy period but due to oblique baby , there was no option left for normal delivery. Even after passing one and half month of operation, I feel a bit pressue down in the place of uterus and central lower back whenever I lay down or turn side. Did someone go through this pain after operation?? Or is it only me :(

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

I was given spinal anesthesia due to high weight (pregnanncy increased my weight upto 85kg) which Gave me horrible horrible horrible horrible headache, finally I had to consult a neurosurgeon . he gave me medicine to cure it.and I recovered thank GOd. I wish I could get general anesthesia . I have heard no side effects of it.
P.S. sorry rainbow I spoiled ur post by writing my experience in such detail but I could not resist after reading ur experience same as mine.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

if your first baby is only 1 month old, why are you already looking into doctor's. Let your body heal first. Having a vbac might not be the best option. for you. you seem to be so scared of the labor process itself...why not just have another c-section.

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

There is no need to be sorry dear, infact i am glad that you are also sharing the same experience as me. Yes i still feel pressure and pain in my lower abdomin while turning etc my lower tummy's skin feels painful to touch as if it is bruised. Sometimes i feel weird pressure and sharp stinging feeling while urinating 😳 i don't get those people who make c-section sound like a piece of cake. They are like "c- section is not painful at all, you will not feel a thing. It will take 15th minutes for the operation and when you will wake up the baby will be by your side blah blah" HELL NO! ITS NOT EASY PEASY AT ALL! C-SECTION IS HELLA PAINFUL! THE ENTIRE PROCEDURE IS SO TRAUMATIZING! i would never want to go through another c-section ever again 😭😭😭 i wanted to get a spinal anesthesia just because i would stay awake to see my baby but spinal is also scary because i also wouldn't like to hear all the doctors and nurses discussing my operation and to hear all the operational equipments around me... When i went to the operation theater they gave me general anesthesia strait and didn't even bother asking if i would prefer spinal 😒 i woke up right after the operation and oh God was i shaking?? I was shaking so bad my whole body was shaking horribly and i was gasping for air... I was unable to breathe and i felt like i was going to die... Allah it was horrible. I think it happens because they insert a tube inside your throat to reduce the chances of choking etc After waking up i felt very very bad pain in the place and i could feel it all... They also do viginal exams afterwards while pressing your lower abdomin to check for bleeding or something! I cried the whole time through that procedure it was agonizing 😭 in ICU i was only thinking what if they come for another internal exam?? I am still so tramatized by the whole procedure. Allah Reham karay

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Yes i know it's been only a month... I am not planning to have a baby number two just yet... I just want to find the best Doctor for VBAC. I know i was so scared of the entire labour process but after c-section i will chose natural no matter how scary labour process is 😨 c-section was horrible enough for me 😳

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Good luck to you. I am having a second one now and planning to have a scheduled c-section IA! But i know things are a little different in the US. Due to high insurances (high risk,) there are very few OB's who take VBAC (here in Houston, TX.)

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

Hmmm so general anesthesia is also scary. Well u r right rainbow c section is not. A piece of cake. Even i m still bleeding vaginally even after 1.5 month of operation and suffering from period like cramps also.

Oh God I still remember the pain of stitches , the numbness in lower body due to spinal, semi unconsciousness (the most horrible feeling I ever felt in my life) and the way my relatives and other people talked to me about my delivery " barra operation , haaye ye kiu hogya. Tum ne bedrest Bht kiya hogya . kaam krnaa that na thorra " I literally felt increase in my physical and emotional pain after listnning such comments. Well thank God we r now with our Lil angels MA

P.S. along with spinal anesthesia I was also given an injection to go into sleep during I think, so that I could not hear the voice of doctors. But let me tell u it lost its effect after sometime and I started hearing voice of staff and doctor

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

I know it is off topic but i m worried about my belly after delivery which is full of BLACK stretch marks. The black colour will go away completely ? ?? If anybody had black stretch marks plz help me

Re: HELP!! Best Vbac supportive doctor in Multan??

you do know, you bleed even more if you have a vaginal birth. During a c-section they normally clean a lot of the blood. So the cramps and bleeding will be there as well.

My only complain regarding a c-section is that you don't have that quick recovery like you do after a vaginal birth. So a mother doesn't bond with the baby as much right after.
