I’ve been reading this forum for quite some time and thought I could come to you for some much needed assistance.
My brother is getting married this summer and I need dress suggestions ASAP for the shaadi and valima. I’m his only sibling and I’m getting my clothes made in karachi/lahore and need some ideas to send to relatives overseas who are getting the clothes made.
What are the latest trends? I’ve been looking at different pictures but I really need some guidance as I am a fashion novice.
Re: HELP ASAP!!!!! I don't know what to wear!!! :(
well i can suggest you can wer a fish cut lehenga for mehindi...............for baraat you can wear a short kameez with trouzer and for walima you can wear a sari............
Check out the links below. I thought these outfits were cute. Hope they help. If you click on the link that says “click for larger view” below each picture…you’ll be able to see a more clearer full picture of each outfit.
THANK YOU ALL for the suggestions!!! Mahi, I LOVE the third picture in the series here.. what gorgeous colors! All of them are beautiful but that one definitely caught my eye. I can’t thank everyone enough for posting pics/giving suggestions…THANK YOU!!!
So here’s what I’m thinking so far…
My brother’s mehndi (we are having 2 separate mehndis):
My sister-in-law’s mehndi:
or
Baraat (possibly…? i’d like a straight pant/long shirt with tons of kaam..other suggestions?):
Valima:
What do you ladies think???
I’m getting the clothes made in Karachi/Lahore so if anyone can point me to the boutiques that would have these that would be WONDERFULLL
Re: HELP ASAP!!!!! I don't know what to wear!!! :(
No I didn't mean it in a bad way :o I just thought it wasn't right for an unmarried girl. It would suit someone who is married :) The combo and the outfit no doubt is really pretty.
Thanks Mahi! The bride is wearing red on shaadi day (ruby color) so if I wear the red/ferozi combo that day it will clash with what she is wearing. I know for a fact that the bride’s family likes to get REALLY dressed up for shaadis, so I want to wear something that has a lot of kaam on it but doesn’t look cheap or tacky, you know? I think the pant/shirt is nice but it doesn’t have enough kaam for the level I’m looking for… any other suggestions? Ugh…it’s so hard to decide!!! My brain is about to explode
Thanks again, and sorry, please bare with me
somegroovychick, that’s great to hear - do you have actual photos of you/your friend wearing those outfits? They look great in the pictures but I know they probably look different in real life. Also how did you purchase them? I’m getting my clothes made in karachi/lahore, so any suggestions would be great
