But, if I may mention- I am a pediatric therapist and this may be a sign of low oral muscle tone. Babies start to display signs as young as being one month old, but parents don’t respond soon enough as they think it is just a habit and will get better on its own. If it continues, in about a month or so, I would discuss the matter of slow swallowing with his doctor at the next visit.
