Islam is in a real sad state of affairs because we rely on** knuckle heads with turbans **to explain quran and hadeeth rather than making an effort to read and understand it on our own. And even worst when these clowns are empowered to make laws of the land today. Can we atleast agree that laws of land should have no input from any religion? If so, please explain which one sect of islam should Pakistan follow and why? What should we do with 900 other sects and their clowns with different interpretation of same quran/hadees?

Boko Haram just married off 200 kidnapped girls. They also cite the same verse this mullah used to justify polygamy. To them this is rightful loot from a war and these are slave girls that they can divide up.

You are free to believe all is well here and other insane ideas your local mullah has in store for you. The view from under that rock is not working out well for the rest of us.

As for polygamy, I think the negative consequences its having for many women in muslim nations is a known fact. Isn’t it better to acknowledge the problem and try to find solutions, rather than pretend that polygamy isn’t causing problems for women in muslim nations?
