Thats understandable considering the recent incidents like Mumbai attacks, etc. But still when there is a process for Pakistani / Indian visiting other country and reporting to local police station, I don’t understand why this family faced all this. After reporting police station, they might get some papers from Indian police that can be presented at hotels alongwith visas. But probably, the things are not that simple and police and intelligence harassment lead hotel owners acting this way.

What I found positive that this was not hidden (brushed under the carpet), by Indian media. At least Times of India reported it. Hope in future, no family face such situation on any side of the border.

@SID_NY I think the title of the thread is quite misleading, which have lead certain comments about ‘we Pakistani also hate Indians’. Though, I don’t have any measurement tool to measure who hates others more.

I don’t know if certain procedures were followed or not, technically, Mumbai is better city that Delhi in every parameter including Woman safety, I was strolled at Nariman point at 2AM in night which is not possible in Delhi ever.

Ahh..now i feel slightly better. When Indians dont give respect to Kasmiris who they claim are a part of India, then how can they show humanity towards Pakistan whose existence they dont even accept.
Now atleast we should agree that Kashmiris are so damn right to struggle for their independence since Indians arent even ready to provide wut is given to rest of the citizens.

And about your first point, I wish it could only be suspicion. Its simply their hatred and bigotry. As you yourself explained how Kashmiri muslims are mistreated, it can be concluded easily that its more because of being a muslim, whether a kashmiri or a Pakistani.

On the other side, thousands of Sikhs visit Pakistan to their religious dargah like Guru Nanak nearby hasan abdal etc. The hospitality shown by Pakistanis is always epic. And thats why i claim that there is no way a Indian family would go thru the same in Pakistan.

I just wish Indians learn something good from their neighbors.

I am Bahu of Kashmiri Pandits so I claim my district of Varahmula as Indian. But since Kashmiri muslims had killed our relatives and my Nanad died due to exodus, I won’t rent any of my property to any Kashmiri Muslim and still I will claim my right to Varahmula/Baramulla. That said, even if you had been in the position of Mr Sharma as I told, rest of your colony wouldn’t have taken risk, people are here to make money by renting not to get killed.
