Mumbai is different than other part of India. 26/11 was bad and painful day. Lodges and motel were instructed by LEA to not rent hotel to Pakistanis…

Should be an eye opener, but won't be, for pakistanis worshipping indians due to bollywood. Now, I am for trade and aman ki asha saving lives but i have perspective as well.

Agreed. That actually leaves me in confusion that whether i should blame govts or media for that or the people who have chosen to be full of hatred that humanity virtually stands zero value against their discrimination.
How can it be? As per my knowledge there are many Pakistani businessmen, celebrities etc visit Mumbai and ofcourse would be staying in hotel. I highly doubt this news.

I see nothing wrong with that. Unlike us, Indians have some shame and they are proud of it. Why are our singers and people going to India? And if you are there and get mistreated you deserved it.

Whole nations are ingrained with hate while growing up. In schools and elsewhere. These notions are then reinforced by TV shows that fan the flames of hatred.
This is the reason majority of Indians hate Pakistanis and majority of Pakistanis hate Indians. And the same reason why Nation X loves/hates people of Nation Y i.e. what they have been taught growing up and the propaganda that TV bombards them with.
Ignorance leads to Fear which leads to Hate which is all good for business. Great success!

Holocaust is very well known fact. Hitler atrocity are very well know. In gare 1 or 2, writing essay on "my horse" I named the horse "Hitler" , since it was easy to spell. Teacher did not like that and she deducted marks.
No effort is being made in education or society, to cover or play down holocaust.
Its just amazing how you played CNN on the topic to keep your loyalties.
BTW look at iranian/iraqi news, they keep watch on each other... since they had wars.. and conflicts.

Don't know what school you went to but I studied about Holocaust in great detail.
But why should they learn about holocaust when the eruos don't get taught much about subcontinent history? it goes both ways. Considering our education standards, including gora history is irrelevant with other things needing top priority.

You will notice that I said "have/had" because I completely know that my information could be dated.
I didn't go to school in Pakistan (for any extended period of time) but have many cousins and friends that did. So perhaps the curriculum has changed since I was given my info.
Fact remains....relevant or not.....denying something happened or falsely suggesting that it did happen because it suits our purpose of hatred does nobody any good.
I agree with you on priorities but that's a whole other subject.....

Your suggestion that I've played CNN to keep my loyalties is an example of how an opinion is quashed by implicating bias where none exists. We are so blinded by perceived threats that we don't even want to hear opinions that might prove our own to be misguided.
I have family ties to both India and Pakistan so maybe I am exposed to opinions from both sides and can more easily see the disparity.
Let me give you an example.....
my bhabhi's family hails from punjab in India.....her mother proudly tells us of '71 when Pakistani fighter jets would run missions over northern India.
she tells with tears in her eyes how her whole community would pray that they could be successful in their mission and return to safety across the border without harm.
I have met many, many Indian people of differing backgrounds and faiths and it is very, very rare that anyone has ever expressed any anti-Pakistani or anti-Muslim sentiment. I wish I could say the same for Pakistanis. It takes a very tiny pro-Indian comment in any Pakistani gathering to launch a full scale anti-India verbal attack with emotions at full flare. I find that sad. Don't you?

This thing I don't want to speak about. It is essentially meaningless. People of subcontinent have irrational feeling towards each other.. no big deal.
In Pakistan many things are real. So please be mindful of that divide.
I can make peace that ABCD see Pakistan not as their country but their culture. Thats completely fine.
But in Pakistan, country has to deal with stuff, which deeper then on line comments.

What happened was disgusting. The hotel operators should be ashamed of themselves. More than 50% of the comments in the article were heartless, cruel and total devoid of humanity.
Indian government should invite the family back and give them a great time.

How sweet. Whenever there's a thread talking about how maliciously intolerant Indians are towards Pakistanis, quickly change the topic to make Pakistanis look like bigger culprits. How convenient of you to randomly start talking about 'holocaust' and history when the topic is Pakistani family spending a night on streets in a diverse cosmopolitan city like Mumbai (not some village or town)?
India and Pakistan had went on four wars, India at one point considered bombing Pakistan's nuclear sites, Pakistan lost half of their country due to openly admitted Indian intervention. So please before lecturing anyone about the so called "perceived Indian threats", read the actual **history of the region, **and educate yourself just how real Indian plotting against Pakistan had always been!
We'll leave Kashmir, Siachen, Balochistan, FATA for some other day!
