News is very alarming and shows intolerance on the part of hospitality industry. This industry might avoid controversy, but such news adds to controversy. Now every Pakistani visiting Mumbai will think hundreds times about accommodation. So, banyas (hotel wala) did not play very well in this case.

Another question that came to my mind is generally mazar like Haji Ali got some facilities for accommodation of visitors. Don’t they have such facility at Haji Ali Mazar? I think its a small structure on an Island, but over the period places like this get accommodation and lodging facilities in surroundings in form of cheap hotels.

I hope Delhi will not show such banyapan and if not a hotel then Khanqah of Nizamudin can provide some refuge to its visitors.

I am not sure about intolerance, it shows more about how Indian system is suspicious of Pakistani citizens, it would be better if we ask Pakistani citizens travelling to India show full itinerary with pre-booking to hotels like that of I had to while I was in UK recently.

Religious Dharamshalas wouldn’t have had problem at first place. In delhi, Pakistanis can always turn to their High Commission if nothing works out.

Almost 10 years ago, a resident of A block in my colony rented 4 Kashmiri Muslims who later turned out people who attacked the Parliament, police handled Mr Sharma so badly that he died after one year. Now nobody rents Kashmiri Muslims any house in Colony, even though my locality is Mecca of Civil Services aspirants.
