we had the mother of all the snowatorms last year. three low pressure systems merged over the great lakes to form one gigantic system which was fed by warm waters off of Texas, USA in the Gulf of Mexico. we also had snow squalls coming off of the Lake Huron in the wake of the huge system moving away.
we had 67 inches of snow in 24 hour period...that is over 5 and a half feet of snow...a lot of snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
that was the storm of the century...the worst since the metereological records have been kept...:(
