I prolly should consult a physician, but just don’t have time, and I don’t think this is really a big deal.
What do you take for heartburn? I’ve been having it considerably these days. And its not like I’m eating spicy food or anything beyond what I normally eat. I thought drinking milk should help, but I don’t find it to be doing anything.
I’m going to take some ice cream now :halo: but please share with me your experiences if you do have heart burn. I feel like I can’t breathe.
go for cold milk ( natural antacid) take sips , don't gulp ,
take TUMS , don't chew it but have it with some cold water ,
avoid hot & spicy & fatty stuff.
My sis who is a doc. advised my hubby to eat curd for heartburn. According to her....don't say prayer, or lay down or do any exercise \right after a meal....And eat 1-2 Tbsp. curd after your \meal....
Drink a glass of mixture - half cold milk half cold water
Walk after meals...keep your meals small...better have 5 small meals rather than 3 larger ones
Take Tums, Rolaids/Pepto Bismol. Avoid greasy foods, spicy foods. If not I would visit the doctor...gastroentrologist (not sure how its spelled)...wanna make sure its not acid reflux or an ulcer or anything
This is tried and true, eat raw seseme seed not roasted with a pinch of salt for taste. it is the best acid nuetralizer. a table spoon in the morning and and one in the evening, if you do not have bacterial infection that causes ulcers, seseme seed will Insh Allah cure the ailment.
“Their advice is to stop heartburn before it starts. Certain foods and beverages cause heartburn more often than others.
Their color-coded brochure divides all foods into three categories, red (stop, you may want to reconsider this choice), yellow (consume with discretion), green (generally a go, with little potential to cause or aggravate heartburn). They include seven categories of food, and here is how they rate dairy products:
Red is sour cream, milk shake, ice cream, regular cottage cheese.
Yellow is yogurt, 2% milk, skim milk, frozen yogurt, low fat cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella (beware of the pizza!)
Green is fat-free cream cheese, feta cheese, goat cheese, fat-free sour cream, low fat soy cheese. Remarkably, the heartburn people do not even list whole milk. Using their logic, fatty foods warrant the highest level of warning. They give a yellow warning to low fat and no-fat milks” obviously full fat whole milk is higher in fat and is thus RED category
Yeah, I was in incredible pain after that ice cream last night. I think I equated milk with ice cream. I totally do gulp down milk really fast, but when I did this morning, it didn't do anything. I'm going to start avoiding the foods, and note down what I ate, next time I experience it. I tried to take some Rolaids - says something about anti-heartburn, but it hasn't been working.
I prolly should go to the doctor then, to make sure it aint no ulcer. I barely have time to take a shower, but whatever.
simple and easy
couple of refrigerated dates in the morning for few days. then once a week. watch ur food specially avoid spaghetti with red wine, juices in general.
milk in fact aggravates the heartburn and it comes back even worse......
try instead cold cucumbers or almonds if ur looking for sumthing from the kitchen .....otherwise have malox plus 10ml three times a day and try to eat small frequent meals every 4-6 hours so ur stomach doesnt remain empty for long and the acid that is normally in ur stomach has sumthing to act on instead of an empty stomach..... U can also try a course of zantac 150mg twice a day for a week that should help ....
I think heartburn has a base on alkalies... e.g. when I drink too much of beer...sometimes I get it too...then I eat some raw veggies and its over... :)
PS: At that time...my body just asks for some good raw veggies...non-acidic of course...
PS1: Just drinking a lots of plain water could be a solution too...
Aloe juice 1/2 cup 3 times a day for 1 month....good for reducing stomach acid and prevention of ulcers.
Side effects....detox your digestive system and give you glowing complexion.!..so go for it :)
