Re: Heartburn/Acidity
gaviscon and rennie eased the pain...eat small meals frequently and dont eat anything after 8pm.
keep your upper body elevated when you are sleeping, plenty of pillows should do the job.
i don't know any desi totke...sorry
Re: Heartburn/Acidity
pyare gave great tips
my close friend got severe acidity during her pregnancy especially in the final trimester.. no med worked for her
what did were almonds! just eat like 5 almonds when u feel acidity coming on.. she wouldnt wait.. every morning she had them.. and then before mealtime or after.
jello as well..
and one more thing.. drink 1 cup milk.. but with a teaspoon. it will take u an hour.. but its easily done when ure just lazing about which will be a lot since ure in the final days of pregnancy :D
ive tried both these things with my husband too cuz he has acidity as well.. and it works great!
hope it helps
Re: Heartburn/Acidity
Don't drink fizzy drinks(makes it worse) and eat almonds.
I used rennie and it did help a lot. I also have gavison chewing tablets but haven't tried those yet.
don’t eat after 8pm???
that would ave been impossible for me during pregnancy. would’ve made me sick.
the small meals definitely helped. walking a bit after eating.
Re: Heartburn/Acidity
Almonds are a wonderful and healthy way to combat acid!! Mine was so very bad though that my doc gave me prevacid and it was a real godsend. My reflux was so bad that my throat was burned and made me cough. My tooth enamel began to erode because the acid was burning it off my teeth! It was really awful. So...if you can try almonds and they work, thats wonderful!! But if it gets really really bad then try the prevacid, it works wonders.
Re: Heartburn/Acidity
Thanks for the replies.
Almonds is something new. Will give it a try.
I dont have caffeine or fizzy drinks.I am sleeping almost sitting up and the meal size has gone really small, although I can hear my stomach growling all the time.
I have also tried milk but so far nothing has seemed to help.I did leave the doctor a message and will hopefully hear back from him.In the meanwhile I'll try the almonds.
:)
