Gorilady, Jucee, Hassan; Yes, you guys should get together and think about dishing out some Payback. Or, you could just get together. Gorilady, go all ghetto fabulous sistah (see Jaanwar above for tips) and make sure the rod is all blinged out before you use it.
Naa i don't think any kind of payback is worth my time. I will always pray for her and wish her very best in life no matter how much it hurts.
Hassan and Jucee, My Fiance sent me an email on Sunday breaking up with me for that very same reason (parents wouldn't let him marry me and he couldn't go against them. He obviously really lacks a spine since he couldn't even break up with me to my face and sent me an email!?!? WTF?! We should form a club... :(

Ahh ok I know this feeling exactly. The guy that promised himself to me is marrying his cousin in a few months. We were in a relationship for 3 years, his guilt to family made him agree to marriage while pretending everything was fine in our relationship. I saw a bit of weird behavior but because I trusted him so much put it down to other stresses. Hear elsewhere what he's actually doing and I couldn't believe it. I can see in his face and desperation now that he made the wrong choice but doesn't have the ball's to speak and rectify.

Aww Jucee, that is sad... :( How old are you and your guy? I'm really sorry to hear that... :( SOOO unfair and cowardly of him. I hate that aspect of Pakistani culture... it seems to happen far too often.

even I don't understand how you can love one person and then go and get married to someone else. I know of so many people this has happened to, and it's sad. Why make promises to someone, build a relationship, when in the end you're going to do whatever your family wants. The guy I love just had his baat pukee with a girl his parents like, and he's going through with it because he isn't courageous enough to fight for us.
Ah well, people come and go, and well, life goes on :)
As far as how to get over heartbreak, you need lots of time to move on, lots of things to distract you, and if possible go on a vacation :) What helps me a lot is when I think of people suffering in Pakistan and around the world, and I realize how the ending of my relationship is nothing compared to what others are going through. Always count your blessings, not your misfortunes :)
