How about this:hmmm:

Re: HDR Photography

^^ ummm the gold embroidery is nicely bokahfied.

You take those shots in aperture priority mode, on canon cameras it is the “P” mode. This way the camera selects the appropriate shutter speed automatically. It is very important that the camera has automatic exposure bracketing (AEB) option, because if it has that you just enable that and use 3 points like EV0 EV +2 and EV -2 and then it will automatically change the exposure settings automatically. Most of the new DSLR camera’s have AEB,
otherwise you manually take one overexposed, one underexposed, and one normal raw pic by changing the exposure/shutter speed (not recommended)

You are right and a very good observation you made, I am still learning HDR, I am no where close to being good. The most important part when taking HDR is that you need some VIBRANT COLORS, jitni rangeen photo ho gi utni ziyada tasveer ki dynamic range ho gi jo kay banda tonemap kar sakkay ga.

Here is one example (I have not taken the picture below)

This picture has all what it requires to get a beautiful HDR, and there were used 9 exposure RAW shots to get it.

I will try to make an easy tutorial where I explain how to actually make HDR from single good high quality uncompressed JPG images, this way people who do not have DSLR can also play around with HDR, however it will not be proper HDR but it will be a good exercise.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Re: HDR Photography

goodnews - I am afraid but that picture is not high dynamic range. Please read my posts and try to understand where I have explained about HDR. If you are in doubt or have any questions feel free to ask them.

100% mera bhi yehi khiyal tha:cb:, Furthermore, I know agar ye hai tu ye nicely se ziada accidentally Bokeh hai

Re: HDR Photography

samad bro, one more question, in photoshop what would be the process in unifying the 3 shots into 1. Im guessing it would be using the calculations dialog box under Image>Calculations, or is it setting layer properties (multiply ect) after adjusting curves/levels?

**Arry sammu kehny ki kiya zarorat hy:faizy:****Tum na bhi kahu tu patta chalta hai ky tum ny nahi li:wink:Zahir hy tum lyty tasweer tu BMW hoti Honda nahi;)

Re: HDR Photography

Zobia, I'm afraid but that is not HDR.

Re: HDR Photography

i am not satisfied with the results either.
so how u r saying its not HDR?

ps. or should i send u raws and u can show the difference?

Ju dara woh mara:smokin2:

1) how can you be satisfied when this picture has no real "dynamic range" at all and it does not meet the HDR criteria?? This looks more like some DRI

2) How will you sending me raw files justify? zaroori nahi kay 3 raw shots say aik HDR mil jaye gi, what if I take 3 indoor shots when the lights are off, will I be able to get the dynamic range? Well NO.

So it might be the "right" procedure you applied to create this HDR but I have to tell you that it does not meet the HDR criteria (not even 1%)

Main ny abhi samjhne ki koshish ki wiki per HDR kiya bala hy or ye hal howa:halo:

theek..thank you
i will be keep trying.

ps. would you mind telling how well the HDR is of your first image of this thread?

in Zobia defence the gold handles are looking good, nice tonal range (similar effect to the banana shot) i think if you posted a higher res version that would help.

but yes Samad your right in that there is no point in hdr process if there is no gain in range. Infact the image deteriorates because of camera shake (if no tripod) when the 3 images are combined.

Re: HDR Photography

^higher version is too noisy...so i had to smudge it like the one we see in banana.
and i am working with 16 bits. (as u can see the watermark there as well)...but i will be keep looking for softwares until i dont get my hands on CS2/3/4

ps. but then if u go to picnik.com defaults HDR version the definition u get is define the range as much as u can with the use of color....and its also very noisy.
....well lets see my other tries. this is just the beginning.
