secondly yazid is a controversial character of the history as a political figure … but he was neither a kafir nor a fasiq. as majority of the sahaba of that period endorsed his caliphship. like abudullah bin abbas, umar bin saad, hazrat abdullah bin umer and many other whose name i dont remember did bayat of hazrat yazid.
hazrat Habib ur Reman Kahndalvi in his book “Mazhabi datain aur unki Haqeeqat” has mentioned list of around 350 sahaba who were alive when the bayaat of yazid as successor of hazrat amir muavia was taken and nobody (except few ppl )opposed Hazrat Yazid nomination. he was the commander for the constantinople and many sahaba including Hazrat ayub ansari fought under his leadership (narrated in sahih bukhari ). he was appointed as an amir hajj 3 times in the regime of hazrat amir muavia and nobody opposed him.
whoever rose against him (like hazrat hussain and hazrat ibn zubair) muslims did not support them inspite of the fact that both were sahabi and close relative prophet…
why muslim did not support hazrat hussain and hazrat ibn zubair. what i can say about it except
