Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

  • umm .. when did prophet married her? when she came to her or after sometime?

  • was she the only slave gifted to her or they were 2 sisters?

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

According to these books as well as "Fazail-e-A'mal", thats all information are written. However on net u'll find there were two female slaves and both were sisters.

Due to variation between 'Muhaddaseen', 'Muar'rakeen', exact date of Nikkah is not available.

Rest Allah SWT! know best :)

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

According to what I read, the 2 sisters [Maria and Sirin] were sent to Nabee [saw], the sister married the Sahaba who was bringing them down, and Hazrat Maria was married to the Prophet [saw] after which she bore him their son Ibraheem, who died very young.

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

This info is available on net but i can’t find the same in three different books. However, about His :saw2: son Ibraheem :ra: the info on net as well as in books are pretty much similar.

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

  • was she gifted as sex slave? since sex with slaves at that time were not prohibited.
  • when did prophet married her? right after she was gifted or later?

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

^ your intentions are clear from the words you have chosen. Or you are an illiterate who doesn't know what this term means.

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

Islamically you can not marry your slave, you have to free them first. So I can only assume if she was his slave, he married her after he freed her.

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

these are the questions that are being asked to me from some other people .. .. I could have answered but i wana learn in details. dun judge me

same argument that i gave but it was retailiated with this question

  • he was suppose to finish theses rituals, but he din finish it rather he "accepted" it and even he gave one slave woman to other sahaba. Why?

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

Do you mean that the Prophet PBUH married a slave without freeing her? If that is what they are saying then I don't really know what you can say. I am not familiar with this story, 1 thing I know for sure the prophet pbuh lived his life in accordance to the teachings of the Quran, so I refuse to believe he married a slave without freeing her first. Saying that is kind of insulting the prophet pbuh in my opinion.

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

I can only add this Hadith in the light of above.

Sahih Bukhari - Book 'Eclipses'

Hadith No. 153

Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba: "The sun eclipsed in the life-time of Allah's Apostle on the day when (his son) Ibrahim died. So the people said that the sun had eclipsed because of the death of Ibrahim. Allah's Apostle said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of the death or life (i.e. birth) of some-one. When you see the eclipse pray and invoke Allah."

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

Bismillah

there's no such thing as sex slaves in Islam. Secondly, please don't argue with these kinds of people when you are knowledge is very very limited on these issues. It will only weaken your position.

1 - Yes, she was gifted to the Prophet (sal-allahu alayhi wa salaam)
2 - There is not such thing as "were"...it's is still permissible in Islamic ruling.

there's a difference of opinion among scholars whether he married her or not. If we assume that he did marry her, why does the timing matter!?

in that case, you should learn to reword your questions and present them in better manner.

because it's legal in Islam! Who said he was supposed to finish these rituals? When did they become mr. all knowing about Islam!? If they want to argue about legality then let's talk about main problem instead of beating around the bush with petty issues.

and Allah knows best

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

Okay let me try to make it simple.

The question that was asked to me was like that .. ..

  • He was a prophet then why, at first place, he accepted a slave in a gift. He was suppose to abolish these rituals but he just supported one of this by gifting the other slave to someone else. Why he did that?

P.S:
I thought sex to slaves were prohibited by ijmah .. am i wrong here ?

Re: Hazrat Maria Qubtia

@AllahkaBanda; sorry i din read your reply earlier. your post replied to most of my questions. just want to confirm one thing again .. "sex with slaves is still permissible" ? provided that its an islamic state and you have "bought" that slave in the same way as in old times people used to .. .. please shed some light here.
