u do know that hawaii is part of the states right?
they have everything (food)that you could find here…hawaiian food is basically a bit sweet…they love to put pineapples in their food.

um yeaaa…and YOU do know that Hawaii was initially inhabited by Polynesians who came from islands somewhere in the South Pacific. That would explain it’s extraodinarily unique culture - including food.

The food was great. As someone said, it’s part of the US, so they had regular American food there. They do use pineapple in everything

Well, I didn't find the people much different. They speak english just like in any state, wear American clothes. The only places where you see typical hawaiian in those dresses is at ports etc. where they have a lot of tourists etc.

hmm. Well you'd think there would be more people of mainstream American culture where there are more tourists...and more Pacific Islander-type culture in the majority of Hawaii.
Hey did you know that Hawaii is actually pronounced HA-VA-EE...just a random fact. My friend was born/raised there.

We thought about doing a cruise (maybe in Europe or something); but we ended up doing this instead and loved it. Did you like the cruise? We were concerned it would be too restricting and perhaps even targeted toward an older audience.
