Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Anyway, Monk bhi.
I personally think Islam is a wonderful religion. Does preach true equality.
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
..except that is not my premis at all! Read my post again.
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Actually yes it is. Again flip flopping. You ask the question how can they all be true and I responded by saying they don’t all have to be true. Its a factually incorrect and illogical premise you have.
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Right. I am flip flopping. -__-
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Its rather evident from your post. So please clarify what you meant by:
As you seem to be changing your stance that all religions can not be the truth.
So which is it. Can one religion be the truth or not?
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
No, I am not. I am simply pointing out that none that claim to be ordained by God can be proven by deductive reasoning. To prove one religion to be the ultimate truth out of all religions, you must compare all religions who claim to be God’s religion. If you are going to conclude one religion to be the truth without comparing it with other similar religions, it is based on your subjective judgment and reasoning. Therefore, it is true for you but not for all mankind.
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
that bold part is also subjective reasoning. You dont know why it is necessary to compare all religions. you dont know how to compare all the religions to prove one religion to be the ultimate truth. Instead, there should be criteria where all religions can be tested against. comparing is not required. It is not necessary for a religion to approve everything form other religions to be the ultimate truth. Negation of all other religions is not required either. Other religions could be considered older/corrupted versions of one true and final religion.
And you said morality is subjective and i asked you to prove the subjectivity of an action. We all know to rob is immoral now you tell me how it could be moral to prove morality subjective.
you are doing same what chach_ghalib said for believers that believers question their belief only to save their bias.

Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
All of this has been discussed in previous pages. I am not going to repeat which I seem to have done a gazillion times already.
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Why not gazillion plus one?
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Well, I dont think so. anyway, my point for morality remains. Next time you say morality is subjective, I will ask you same question.
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
^ can you repeat the question?
Re: Have you ever questioned your belief?
Actually that has nothing to do with our current discussion. You stated and I quote:
*The question is why do they all have to be true?
