You know onething that I miss the most is not someones voice but the Azaan. It is reverbrating to hear Azzaan and then flocking to a mosque and submitting oneself to Allah.

definitely relate to that…living here in the west u really do feel it especially when u come back from a muslim country! i remember wen we got back from Makkah/madinah, everytime it was time for prayer i would run to the TV (if i was at home) and switch to Islam channel to watch the adhan in Makkah so that i could bring back al those feelings of when we were there, i remember when it was time to pray and you would just literally be running to the masjid-e-haram to get a good place and everyone would be flocking with you, hundreds of people just going to the same place and the sound of the adhan- mashAllah, it was beautiful…miss it so much:(

Oh my this is making me sad. Never in my life have I heard anything that can come close to the beauty of the sound of the "prayer man's" voice echoing thru the mountains in the early morning and in the evening when the day is done. We have an Azaan clock but the tinny little voice that comes out is kinda pitiful. The real thing reaches in, grabs you by the soul and throws you to your knees in submission. Never will I forget that sound and never will I cease to miss hearing it every day.
