A few days ago when i was crossing the street, A gora yelled at me from his car and said “Go back to your country you f… wog”.
And he was no teenager, he was a middle-aged man.
That shocked me, it was after a long time that i faced any overt racism
p.s. but i have seen otherz facing, especially gals wear niqab, whereas i do wear scarf and never face any racism (Alhumdullah). prolly Alhumdullah my parents duas are always with me
yeah one time 3 rednecks called me some names and an iraqi, and told me to go back where I came from, I just told them to try sucking on their own "thingies" for a change, they chased me, I knew I was 2 blocks from safe territory, they caught up attacked me and then a house full of fraternity guys seeing one of their own getting attacked charged these rednecks, these guys got up in a hurry and left. poor morons did nto realize that teh brownie that they were going after could have that sort of backup.
as they ran, I just said, hey dont forget what I said..and repeated my ignorant statement :)
well in school got bullied considering ther was only 6 pakistanis and indians in the school but down the line took up some activites and became popular then in the school but alhamdulilah even though i have a beard ive never been shouted at or sworn at in england....:)
many times. but i remember this one lady who was harassed while crossing the street with her little daughter. she was wearing hijab n burqa and had groceries bags in one hand n her daughter's hand in other hand. so while she was waiting for the light to turn red to cross the street. this car pulled up to her n men in it started yelling at her throwing insults and curses. my car was rite next to theirs so i started playing music loudly. mind u there were many other ppl standing next to her but no one said anything. she didn't said anything back to them. kept looking straight, crossed the street and went on her way. her daughter was laughing at them :@:
